THE SYDNEY MORNING HERALD
& THE SUN-HERALD
Good Food Month is part of our
commitment to all things food
and wine on-line, via our
weekly and monthly magazines
and through essential weekly
reading such as Good Food
each Tuesday and the dining
bible, The Sydney Morning
Herald Good Food Guide.
On-line, goodfood.com.au has
rapidly become the go-to site
for eating out, eating in and
everything in between,
reinforcing our authority when
it comes to food. Its tting,
then, that we return to Good
Food Month, the festival name
that was launched 15 years
ago. Celebrate everything that
is good about food this October
and enjoy reading about it with
the Herald.
Welcome to Australias largest food festival.
A month of appetising food and drinks events awaits you with the
return of The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Month presented
by Citi. The best chefs, restaurants, farmers, wine experts and
artisan food producers go on show in Sydney and regional NSW at
dinners, lunches, tours, parties across than 520 event listings.
This year we are expanding too to Brisbane with brisbanetimes.
com.au and Canberra, with The Canberra Times. And in November
we head to Melbourne for the inaugural The Age Good Food Month
presented by Citi.
Across the board, long-time favourites return (where would Good
Food Month be without Lets Do Lunch, Hats Off Dinners and the
Night Noodle Markets?). Weve also introduced some fun ideas such
as great value Good Dinners Under $30, cafe-hour Breakfast Club
and late-night Supper Club menus. The boom in Pop-ups and
Parties continues and theres some lively new Laneway excitement
too. Dive into these action-packed program pages to become
everything from a Bar Hopper to an Instant Expert, and go green
with Down to Earth and Kitchen Gardening.
Were thrilled to feature as special guest Ren Redzepi from Noma
in Copenhagen, the restaurant currently ranked second in the world.
On the eve of an international book tour with Phaidon Press, Ren
will be joined by a group of inspiring Australian chefs for what
promises to be a landmark Australian event (see page 5 for details).
Good Food Month happens thanks to The Sydney Morning Herald,
Good Food and our fantastic partners, including our presenting
partner, Citi. Were grateful for this invaluable support.
Make sure you check goodfoodmonth.com for updates and
bookings, share your stories via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
(@goodfoodmonth) and have a truly fabulous time this October.
