A test always consists of a pair of: 1. CPC 100 test template (*.xmt file): Contains predefined empty test cards. After conducting the test with the CPC 100, it contains the measured results. 2. Microsoft Excel sheet for evaluation and reporting (*.xlt file): To import the measurement results from the test template and for the presentation of results.
The CPC 100 test template (*.xmt file) and the Microsoft Excel sheet (*.xlt file) is a pair which belongs together. You will automatically get a report (for example, the Auto-TR Dissp. Factor test).

This option allows to transfer the test templates of different devices (for example, Power Transformers, Rotating Machines, Other, Instrument Transformers, Grounding Systems or Cables & Transmission Lines) in the same logical folder structure.
The subfolders are created automatically. When transferring all test templates at once, this is the default setting. Keep templates selected after transfer: Templates remain selected after the file transfer. This is comfortable, for example, if you have more than one device to which you want to transfer the same test templates, or you like to remember which templates you have transferred.

Click to start the transfer of the test templates to your CPC 100 or your local folder. At the end of the transfer procedure a message that reads Transfer completed will be displayed.
Click again to continue. Now the Open corresponding Excel templates dialog is shown. It lists the corresponding Excel templates to the matching CPC 100 templates just transferred. Templates which could not be transferred are shown in red color. Templates which you have chosen not to overwrite if they already existed are shown in blue color. Click an item in the list to open the CPC Excel File Loader Template.
With the Load XML-File button, the results can be directly loaded from the CPC 100.

Types of OMICRON Test Templates Templates for Power Transformers Transformer Ratio The Transformer Ratio templates facilitate the examination of the transformer ratio of power transformers with tap changers. The no-load current is also measured and displayed. Transformer Short Circuit Impedance - Leakage Reactance Using this template, you can quickly measure the short-circuit impedance and hence also the leakage inductance or leakage reactance of power transformers. Graphical display provides a wellarranged overview of the measured values. Transformer Tap Changer The graphical display of the phase switch tests quickly shows whether the tap changers need to be checked. Displaying the upward and downward tap changer movement in the same diagram supports the power transformer diagnosis. Both static DC resistance and dynamic switchover behavior between two taps are measured and displayed. TR_2-WIND This template is available for both the power factor and dissipation factor measurements between the windings and against the tank of two-winding power transformers. TR_3-WIND This template is available for both the power factor and dissipation factor measurements between the windings and against the tank of three-winding power transformers. Auto-TR This template is available for both the power factor and dissipation factor measurements between the winding and the tank of auto-transformers. Bushing This template is available for both the power factor and dissipation factor measurements. The template for transformer bushing displays the results graphically and in tabulated format. Displaying the measurements against voltage and frequency supports the fault diagnosis. Templates for Instrument Transformers CT Accuracy Limiting Factor You can use this template to approximate the accuracy limiting factor of a current transformer from three individual measurements (CT burden, winding resistance, magnetization curve). You can toggle between nominal and actual burden. Comprehensive CT Test Report This template demonstrates how to display a report for three current transformers including transformation measurement, winding resistance measurement, magnetization curve etc. on one page. CT This template is available for both the power factor and dissipation factor measurements on current transformers.
OMICRON 2010
CVT This template is available for both the power factor and dissipation factor measurements on capacitive voltage transformers. Templates for Cables and Transmission Lines Line Impedance Using this template, you can measure the positive and zero-sequence impedance of three-phase overhead wires or underground cables. The k factors in different formats and k factors for the individual phases are calculated. Mutual Coupling Using this template, you can calculate the mutual coupling impedance as well as the mutual coupling factor for different relays from measurements on overhead lines.
Line Impedance 16.7 Hz Templates for 16.7 Hz systems, both dual and single-phase, are available for railway applications. Coupling into Signal Cables This template supports coupling measurements of overhead wires or underground cables to signal cables. Lightning Arrestor This template is available for both the power factor and dissipation factor measurements on surge arrestors. Reactor This template is available for both the power factor and dissipation factor measurements on reactor coils.

Templates for Rotating Machines Generator Testing This template is available for both the power factor and dissipation factor measurements of largescale generators with the CPC 100, CP TD1 and one or several CP CR500 resonance reactors. Templates for Grounding Systems Ground Impedance The ground resistance measurement template facilitates assessing the quality of grounding systems. It displays the results in relation to the distance from the grounding system graphically. If appropriate measuring points are selected, statements can also be made on the step voltage. Touch Voltage You can use this template for measurements with the CPC 100 alone. A wired connection from the location of the test back to the CPC 100 is needed. The touch voltage template can also be used for measuring the step voltage. The AN CP0502 Application Note explains the details of the measuring procedure. Step & Touch Voltage You can use this template for measurements with the CPC 100 together with the CP AL1 FFT voltmeter. No connection from the location of the test to the CPC 100 is needed. The AN CP0502 Application Note explains the details of the measuring procedure.
2.2.6
Tools The CPC 100 Start Page is directly linked to the OMICRON Tools.
CPC Editor It is used for offline test preparation, for example, setup of single test cards and/or entire tests with all of their test-specific settings on a PC, independent from the availability of a CPC 100. CPC Editor is only available in the CPC 100 Advanced Toolset distribution. CPC Excel File Loader CPC 100 Excel File Loader allows loading XML files generated with the CPC 100 into Microsoft Excel templates for post-processing. OMICRON Device Browser OMICRON devices such as the CPC 100 and their file systems are accessible like any other directory through the Windows Explorer. It is an application embedded in the Windows operating system.
