General
These instructions concern actions to be taken in case of alarm, and preventive maintenance of power supply system ACTURA Flex 48300, using supervision unit BMP 903 042/1 or BMP 903 042/2. Adequate knowledge of the power supply system is required. Refer to the system description and installation instructions for the system. N.B. These maintenance instructions, document SAFETY RULES 1550-1004 and local safety rules shall be followed when doing maintenance work in the power supply equipment. Measures that require work inside the cabinets or intervention in a unit shall always be carried out by adequately trained personnel with adequate knowled ge of the power supply system. When in doubt about an action or how to carry it out, always call for adequately trained personnel.
1.1
1.1.1
Authorization
Adequately Trained User
A user who has received adequate training for the power supply system in question is authorized to take responsibility for the equipment and to perform tests, fault tracing and exchange of units.
1.1.2
Other Users
Users with basic training for the power supply system in question are authorized to handle the equipment during normal operation only, and to take those actions in case of alarm which are included in these instructions and which do not involve work inside the cabinets.
5(15)
Alarm Categories
The different alarm categories used in the power supply system are A1, A2, O1 and None. An alarm of category A1 requires immediate action, whatever the time of day or night. An alarm of category A2 requires immediate action if it occurs during workinghours, otherwise as soon as the workinghours commence. An alarm of category O1 is an observation alarm that indicates a temporary state of operation and does not normally require any action. However, if the alarm persists for more than 20 hours, it must be investigated. If an alarm has category None it means that the alarm is deactivated and will not be shown in the display of the PCU or in the Active Alarm" page of the web interface. At delivery, each alarm belongs to one of the alarm categories above. We normally recommend the factory setting to be retained, but if required, each alarm can be ranged under any alarm category except alarm No. 10 (always O1).

4.11 No. 32
Indicates that the battery temperature is too high. S S Check the battery temperature sensor. Check the temperature. If it is too high, try to eliminate the reason for it.
8(15)
4.12 No. 33
Indicates that the battery temperature is too low. S S Check the battery temperature sensor. Check the temperature. If it is too low, try to eliminate the reason for it.
4.13 No. 34
This alarm indicates that the battery temperature sensor has a fault. S S S Check the sensor connection to the PCU. Check that the sensor is properly installed on the battery. Exchange the temperature sensor.
4.14 No. 41
The alarm indicates that one or more of the rectifiers has supplied more output volta ge than what has been set on the PCU. This alarm is generated if the system volta ge exceeds a/the preset level. S Check the set battery voltage and the overvoltage; if the limits are incorrect, find out why they have changed and correct them.
9(15)
4.15 No. 42
Shows that the distribution voltage has dropped below the preset alarm level, usually initiated because of mains failure. If the undervoltage is caused by a mains failure, check with the exchange manager whether some load could be switched off in order to prolong the operating time of the plant. If there is no mains failure, the reason for the low voltage is that the load is supplied entirely or to a large extent by the batteries because of rectifier failure or too high system load related to the rectifier capacity. If the undervoltage is caused by a rectifier failure, find out what rectifier alarms are active and follow the instructions concerning them. If all the rectifiers are in operation and take full load, the undervoltage may be due to recharge of the batteries after a mains failure or the rectifier capacity being too small. If the batteries are being recharged, the alarm will cease by itself when the battery voltage has increased over the undervoltage limit. Compare the distribution current with the rectifier current by using the following for mula: (number of rectifiers x 1500)/Usyst > 0.8 x (IB + IL) The distribution current must not exceed 80 % of the total rectifier current at floating voltage. If the distribution current is higher than the rectifier capacity, some load must be dis connected in order to secure the operation of the plant. Add more rectifiers so that they cover the need for the distribution current plus at least one redundant rectifier.
4.16 No. 43
See instructions for alarm No. 42, item 4.15.
4.17 No. 51
Indicates an internal rectifier defect. S Change the faulty rectifier.
10(15)
4.18 No. 52
A failure reported from two or more rectifiers. See item 4.17.
4.19 No. 53
The system load is higher than the rectifier capacity. One or more of the rectifiers may be out of order. Exchange the rectifiers. If the rectifiers are working, the problem is that the system load is higher than the rectifier capacity. Reduce the system load to ensure proper function of the system, or install more rectifiers.
4.20 No. 54
Indicates that the rectifier's internal temperature is too high and therefore the rectifier is reducing its output current in order to reduce the temperature. S Make sure that there is nothing obstructing the inflow of cooling air through the rectifier front. S Make sure that there is nothing obstructing the outflow of heated air through the cabinet. Change the faulty rectifier.
4.21 No. 55
Indicates that the feeding voltage to the rectifier is out of range.
4.22 No. 56
Indicates that a rectifier has a faulty fan that needs to be changed.
4.23 No. 58
Indicates an internal rectifier defect. S Change the faulty rectifier.
11(15)
4.24 No. 62
The contactor for the normal load is open because the battery voltage is too low. If the rectifiers are working, the problem may be that the system load is higher than the rectifier capacity, causing the batteries to discharge. If the rectifiers are working and the system load is lower than the rectifier capacity, check the measuring cables to the contactor. They may be broken or have come loose. If the rectifiers are not working (e.g. mains failure), the batteries will be disconnected at a preset level, in order to protect the batteries from overdischarging.
4.25 No. 63
The contactor for the prioritized load is open because the battery voltage is too low.
4.26 No. 64
This alarm indicates that the contactor for the normal load is not working. S S Check that the connections to the contactor are correct. Exchange the distribution unit with the contactor.
4.27 No. 65
This alarm indicates that the contactor for the prioritized load is not working. S S Check that the connections to the contactor are correct. Exchange the distribution unit with the contactor.
12(15)
4.28 No. 66
Indicates that one or more battery fuses/circuit breakers have blown/tripped or been removed. If a battery fuse/circuit breaker has been removed/tripped manually, check with the person that removed/tripped it before reinserting/resetting it. Ensure that there is no fault before doing that. The battery fuse shall be reinserted by adequately trained personnel. If the battery fuse/circuit breaker is blown/tripped, the reason for the failure probably is overload or short circuit. Find out and eliminate the reason for the blown/tripped fuse/circuit breaker before swapping/resetting it. The battery fuses shall be changed by adequately trained personnel.
4.29 No. 67
This alarm indicates that the PCU has an internal fault and needs to be exchanged.
4.30 No. 68
This alarm indicates that the PCU has an internal fault and needs to be exchanged.

This alarm indicates that battery end voltage is reached before end of test time dur ing a battery test. S S S Check the float charging level. Check that the load is lower than or equal to the capacity of the rectifiers. Check the battery according to the recommendations of the supplier.
13(15)
4.33 No. 73
The PCU did not manage to start a battery test. The reason is that the battery discharge current did not exceed 3 A after one minute. S S S Check the current load. Check that the battery is connected. Check the battery according to the recommendations of the supplier.

4.38 No. 83
The boost charging function has been activated (cyclically).
4.39 No. 84
The boost charging function has been activated (automatically), for example after a mains failure.
