Day by day, we can see a lot of construction project are developed by human around world. One of the successful construction projects is Burj Khalifa in Dubai. It is the highest tower in the world about 828 meters. While doing this project, do you think it did properly? As a human, we can avoid from any mistakes while doing a task given by top management. Sometimes, we can see that the workers in construction company waste a lot of resource, cost and time. They cannot avoid any constraint while doing the project. To overcome this problem, management department store the historical data of construction project to make better decision without make any mistake and maximize the profit for the company. In order to store the historical data, it is compulsory for the company to have the data warehouse and data mining applications. Data mining techniques extract repeated and useful patterns from a large data set that in turn are utilized to predict the outcome of future events. Data mining can be define as the process of analyzing data from different perspectives and summarizing it into useful information - information that can be used to increase revenue, cuts costs, or both. Data mining software is one of a number of analytical tools for analyzing data. It allows users to analyze data from many different dimensions or angles, categorize it, and summarize the relationships identified. Technically, data mining is the process of finding correlations or patterns among dozens of fields in large relational databases. For example, one Midwest grocery chain used the data mining capacity of Oracle software to analyze local buying patterns. They discovered that when men bought diapers on Thursdays and Saturdays, they also tended to buy beer. Further analysis showed that these shoppers typically did their weekly grocery shopping on Saturdays. On Thursdays, however, they only bought a few items. The retailer concluded that they purchased the beer to have it available for the upcoming weekend. The grocery chain could use this newly discovered information in various ways to increase revenue. For example, they could move the beer display closer to the diaper display. And, they could make sure beer and diapers were sold at full price on Thursdays. In construction field, the management department of Construction Company can use the historical data in order to get data knowledge about resource. By using this data, they easily can minimize the cost and control the cost use to construct the building based on the historical data. This method is useful because they can check whether the cost used in the project exceed the

budget. For example the resources in construction are workers, equipment, machines, water, electric, and others. Data mining helps most of contractor in deciding the decision. If they have enough information about the project that they run, it will give a lot of benefit especially to get better decision in future. By using this data, they also can forecast the future value to gain profit and avoid loss. Data mining is presented as a key business tool to transform existing data into key decision support systems to increase estimate reliability and accuracy within the construction industry. For example, using 1600 water infrastructure projects completed between 2004 and 2012 within the UK, cost predictive models were developed using a combination of data mining techniques such as factor analysis, optimal binning and scree tests. In conclusion, data mining has a lot advantages in many field especially in construction project. However, as a human we can avoid from any mistakes in decision making and sometimes, instinct is more accurate than use any application in computer.
