About the Author

Team driving millionaires is a legitimate way for couples, without children
at home, to accelerate earnings and savings to retire early and live
comfortably by utilizing the advantages of team trucking jobs. If you have
serious debt problems, the team driving millionaire plan can be used to help

With the reality of Social Security being gone in the near future and the
majority of our nations workforce being unable to save a dime for
retirement, I decided to put together another option for ambitious people to
achieve their dreams.

I will refer to husband, wife or spouse in this eBook. If you happen to be in a
same sex relationship or a boyfriend-girlfriend type scenario you can
obviously make the adjustment as you read.

Studies have been done and the sad truth is majority of the people in the
U.S.A do not like their jobs or their bosses. They keep dragging along in
denial, saving nothing, hoping that it will get better avoiding the reality that
they may have to work into their 70s or 80s or until death, whichever
comes first?


People are gambling more and spending a fortune online looking for (get-
rich) schemes.

Most people cannot afford college; some had a family when they were
young. The problem is most people just cant seem to save anything and by
the time they get old enough to take saving seriously, its too late!

Trucking

Trucking is here to stay. The great thing about truck driver jobs is the way
our countrys infrastructure is designed; we will always have and need
trucking jobs. You can live just about anywhere you want to as a truck
driver. Truck drivers can always get a job unlike a lot of other professions
because of job availability.

Job availability

There are currently over 1.3 million truck drivers on the road. Now thats a
lot of jobs. If you have a CDL or are planning to get one, the chances of you
ever not being able to find a job are slim.

Attached is a link to the U.S. Truck Driver Shortage (analysis and
forecasts). It was prepared for The American Trucking Associations by
Global Insight, INC. It is a 39 page report on the truck driver shortage
forecasts.

Basically the jobs are growing faster than the work force is growing. Top
it off with the fact that there are a lot of older drivers getting ready to retire
in the coming years and you have a shortage that is growing larger every
year! The bottom line here is a lot of job openings and good ones.


The Reason for Team Driving Millionaires!

The idea for Team Driving Millionaires came to me only months after
getting into the trucking industry and getting a great job with the line haul
company I worked for. I was on the extra board running solo wild in the
system.

This means I hauled the extra loads that trucking terminals for my company
would build that were not covered by the dedicated drivers.

I would go out into the system (run the whole country) and drive a truck for
a week at a time and be home every weekend. So I would haul loads from
terminal to terminal and when I ran out of hours to drive I would go to the
hotel an take my 10 hour break. After my break I would go run again and
repeat the process.

It was when I figured out that I had enough hours left to run an extra day
each week and make even more money that the idea for Team Driving
Millionaires came to me. I was able to get 6 full runs done in a five day
period and still have a normal weekend off. My overhead and bills were
almost nothing and I had so many tax breaks as a truck driver, my accounts
were growing rapidly.

I realized that if I had a wife or a girlfriend that could go drive with me, we
would be able to save and invest a large amount of money together.

The fact is team drivers usually make 2-3 cents a mile more regardless of the
company you work for. With my company they are topped out at 55-56 cents
a mile after three years of service. Some companies are up to 58 -67 cents a
mile. I would just stay out and run and let my company pay for my hotels.


I got rid of my apartment and used my friends house as my residence
paying little rent and started to save and invest money. You need to have a
legal residence to get all the tax breaks of an over the road truck driver. If
you dont you are considered a transient and get no tax benefit. It is amazing
how quickly the money started to pile up when I got rid of my bills and
worked all the time with very little overhead.

Then add the power of compounding interest and tax breaks to this
equation and you have a system that will produce spectacular financial
results! I was making $1,400 to $1,700 a week and was not even close to top
pay. I had no bills!

Double this and add more for team driver pay and you can see the
investment potential with a skeleton budget. With a good company at top
pay at the 3 year mark team drivers can bring in $1,700 - $2,000 a week
each without a problem. Maybe even more!

I looked at what I was doing and realized that if a couple of people did what
I was doing as team drivers they would make more than double what I was.
Two 401k plans with company matching contributions. Two IRAs and two
brokerage accounts, and best of all, no bills!

Wow! They could retire millionaires in as little as 4 years on my
budget!! This is a vague time frame and it depends on a couples personal
situation and previous financial obligations as well as how much a couple is
willing to sacrifice to make it happen. It could be done in as little as 4 and
1/2 years! It could take longer depending on your variables.

Team drivers make more per mile because they are more valuable to
trucking companies. It is easier to get hired if you are a team. The reason is
that the truck can keep moving. One driver sleeps while the other drives.
When the driver runs out of hours they switch and the driver who was
sleeping drives.

Team drivers working for a company like mine who are willing to stay out
and extra day a week or go out for two weeks straight with the right financial
plan could retire millionaires quickly. If they are as disciplined as I was they
could do it in 4 - 10 years or less.

Two drivers can pull in $80- $100,000 each and investing 90% or better of
their after tax income. Wow! Put in 4 1/2 - 10 years and you can be done
forever. Most people work for 40-60 years and never acquire a million
dollars of invested money. Most of the work force in todays economy will
never be able to retire and will work until they die.

I ran an extra day for my company for almost a year straight. The hardest
part for me was getting lonely. As a team driver you will have your wife or
girl friend/husband etc. with you! Problem solved!

After talking to several husband wife teams over the years I realized
that very few were capitalizing on the advantages that were available to

situation. We are talking about you and your spouse pulling in $80-


$100,000 a year each and putting the power of compounding interest to

years of your life or less. You can see the country, be together, and retire
spending the rest of your life doing whatever you please. You could get part
time jobs, start a small business, or work from home or do nothing but lie at

If you are 24 years old you could possibly be done working for the rest of
your life at the age of 31. If you are older and have saved nothing in your

It will probably be overwhelming to most people at first, easier for those
who have served in the military. If two people are committed and have

When I first started, I had been driving about two weeks and I remember


thinking; Im never going to be able to do this! Then somewhere about a
month in my body became acclimated to what I was doing! It became so
easy and I had certain daily routines I would go through.

There came a point where I could not stand to be out of the truck for more
than a couple days at a time. Driving 600 miles for me now is the equivalent
of someone else having to drive to the grocery store and back. Once you
have a year under your belt it is easy. They say it takes about 21 days to form
a new habit.

If you are disciplined and form good habits it will be easier.
You will have to be disciplined and be honest with yourself about spending
and investing. This is an aggressive plan and all aspects have to be put in
place for it to work. If you are lazy and have no ambition or lack self
motivation you will probably not make it.

What do Team Drivers do?

Team drivers are 2 people assigned to one truck. They are a team and haul
loads for a trucking company from point A to point B. Team drivers can get a
load to its destination quickly because while one driver is driving the other is


on break sleeping. When the driver runs out of hours to drive he goes on
break and the driver who has been sleeping comes off break and drives.

Team drivers drive a truck with a sleeper birth. The back of the truck has a
large area with a bunk (Sometimes 2 Bunks). There is room for a T.V., VCR,
Small fridge, Xbox, laptop, food, storage etc. It is basically like a small RV.

If you keep the truck moving, and you will constantly be making money.
Live cheap and frugal and take advantage of the 52 dollar tax write off. You
can claim 52 dollars for meals without keeping any receipts. I would survive
on 10-15 bucks a day. I would buy slim fast bars at Wal-mart and whatever
else I needed in bulk.

You will need to lower your overhead to almost nothing. Make and invest
large amounts of money rapidly using 401ks, IRAS, and brokerage accounts
while driving a truck together for 4 - 10 years or less.

Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not;
nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not;
unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full
of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.

Women Make Great Drivers


Here is a snippet from an article I wrote a while back.

More and more women are considering a career in the trucking industry than ever before.
Women are finally starting to figure out the money that can be made in the truck driving
industry and they are cashing in. Truck driving is one of the few professions that women
make exactly the same as their male co-workers. While attending a truck driving school
several years ago, I was surprised by a 25% female truck driver training class as well as
several female truck driving instructors.

The surprise didn't stop there as it seemed the women truck driver students seemed to out
perform the majority of male students on written and truck driving tests! The fact is
women make excellent truck drivers and it is arguable that they make better drivers than
the men.

The fact is your wife could probably drive better than you! Not only can she
drive great but can probably shoot a rifle better than you also! I have seen it
over and over again. Women do better because they listen and pay attention
when being trained. Most women have not developed the bad habits that
men have like knowing everything and being too proud to ask questions.

Section 2

Finding a Trucking School

Before you head off for school, I suggest you go to the DMV and get the
CDL book. Start studying the CDL tests. Memorize it all and school will be
a lot easier. Some schools will have you pass the written test before you
even go to school. Wait and find out before you do this. The temporary
driving permits only last so long and you will need it for school.


Find a school that will teach you to drive a truck. Not one that just goes
through the motions and gives you just enough to pass the test. After all, the
better driver you are the more confident you will be.

It will help you keep your MVR clean also. A more reputable school will
look better on your record. Lots of people qualify for federal or state grants
and dont know it. It may be worth your while to check with the school you
choose for more information.

If you dont have any money or dont qualify a grant you can always do
what I did and go for free! Companies like Schneider, Swift and England
have driver schools. Werner and US express can point you in the right
direction for schooling if you want to break-in with them. There are plenty
of trucking companies that offer tuition reimbursement. Click the links to go
to websites. Schneider has a new pay package so I would give them some
serious consideration for starting out.

There is a catch though. They will train you for free if you sign a contract
and work for them for at least a year in some cases. These contracts vary,
read them carefully.

That doesnt mean you have to stay for a year. You will just owe them for
the price of the school if you leave before the contract is up. Which
sometimes is your best bet? You may be making so much more somewhere
else you can pay them back and still have more money in your pocket.

If you money to pay and decide to go with a private school make sure they
have a good job placement program. You are going to need a least 3 months
experience with a break-in company before you will be ready to upgrade
jobs.

A break-in company is a company that will hire an inexperienced driver
right out of driving school. Companies with entry level driver training
programs are also considered break-in companies. Pay is usually very low.


If you stay with a break-in company for your whole first year you will
probably only make around $35,000 -$40,000 each if you are lucky.

Most break in companies will pay 28 cents to 32 cents a mile if you are
lucky. This is why you want to move on quickly! Schools can last
anywhere from 2 weeks to 5 weeks. A company school will usually pay you
during school. After school you usually spend a 1-3 weeks with a training
instructor on the road. Then you will be on your own.

You will probably get better training with a company school because you
will be driving their trucks. Check out Trucking School Reviews and see
what previous students had to say about particular trucking schools. If you
have already been through a trucking school you can let others know if it
had good training or not.

There are not too many independent trucking schools left that provide
financing anymore, but there is still one left that has quality training. Fill out
a quick form and I will forward your information along if you are interested.

After Training

After training you will go to work and try to figure it all out. Starting out can
be stressful, but you will have the advantage of going through it with your
partner. Two heads are better than one and it wont take long before it gets
easy. After only working for a couple of months I suggest you start to shop
for a higher paying job.

I was hired by a great company with only three months experience! Their
website said 3 years minimum experience. I applied anyway knowing that
companies use these rules to deter the masses but when they need drivers


they need drivers. If you are aggressive and persistent you can get a good job
in less than a year without a problem.

Below are five things to keep in order that will help you in getting the best
job possible with very little experience.

Five things that will help Team Drivers get the
Best Jobs!

Anyone can get a regular trucking job. But once you get a few months
experience you are going to want to upgrade jobs so you can save and invest
more money. The following things you will want to have in order to do just
that. You will have one additional advantage and that is team drivers get
hired quicker because they are more valuable.

1. A clean MVR (motor vehicle report).

If you have a perfect driving record you are ahead of about 60% of the
drivers out there right now! Maybe more. Try to keep it that way. It is great
ammunition when you start selling yourself.

If its not perfect dont worry, I had a ticket on mine and it didnt slow me
down. As long as you dont have multiple excessive speeding tickets or
accidents with fatalities you should be ok.

Drunk Driving is a big black mark to have on your record, but there are
schools that will take you if you are honest. I know a truck driver who


recently got a DUI. He lost his CDL for 6 months. At his pay scale this
turns out to be a 42,000 dollar fine in lost wages! DUI penalties are more
severe if you have a CDL.

Having a squeaky clean MVR is like being an academy award winner in this
industry. It will be your ticket to any job you want! Whether your MVR is
clean or not you need to take a different approach every time you drive your
car or truck. Be conscious of everything you do and drive by the book.

Just because people are speeding past you doesnt make it ok to do so
yourself. I have seen cops pull a truck out of the middle of a pack and give
him a ticket! Think of your license as the winning lottery ticket. If you get
a ticket you lose the lottery. Most companies check back 3 years.

Dont think you cant get a job with some tickets on your MVR because you
can. Trucking companies have to carry insurance just like you do on your
own car! We all know what happens to your car insurance when you get a
ticket.

When you are interviewing against 3 other people for one good job a ticket
could be the deciding factor! I cannot stress enough the importance of
keeping your MVR clean! It is that important!

2. The ability to consistently pass a drug test!

Extremely important! This puts you ahead of another group of drivers. You
would be surprised how many drivers this eliminates!

A common error or trap that drivers fall into is working for companies that
pay 30-35 cents a mile. A lot of these companiess give drivers a fast truck
and dont care if they violate the hours of service or speeding laws. After all


why should they!

Its not their license. They just want loads moved. In order to make money
these drivers start using Crystal meth. (Methamphetamine) so they can stay
awake for days at a time and run illegally, racking up miles and big pay
checks.

Eventually they wreck, kill someone or get busted and slowly ruin their CDL
(MVR) with violation after violation. These are the guys on the radio that
will try to discourage you from getting one of these jobs because they cant.
Misery loves company, they made their bed and now they can lay in it.
Dont get started down this path!

Keep your CDL clean! Its your license and it belongs to you not the
company you work for. Dont do drugs! If you can pass a drug test you are
ahead of half the drivers on the road. Too many drivers allow companies to
intimidate them into running illegal. Dont do it! It is your CDL and your
CDL is your meal ticket!

More and more companies doing pre-employment drug screening and
random drug testing on the job today than ever. I am always amazed when I
hear about a guy failing a random drug test and losing his $75,000 a year job
that put him home every day!

I know people who mess around with drugs on their weekend or only
occasionally at a party a few times a year. If this is you dont bother trying
to get one of these jobs. You will only lose it and I cant imagine what its
like to lose such a good job because you decided to get high on your day off.

3. The ability to pass a federal background check.


Now you are almost at the front of the line! You have to be able to pass a
federal background check to haul hazardous materials. All the top paying
companies haul hazmat!

Even the break-in companies haul hazmat. Dont panic, a truck full of just
about anything you find under your kitchen sink can be considered a
hazardous material. After 9/11 new laws were put in place regarding
hazardous materials.

Effective May 31, 2005, the Patriot Act requires individuals renewing or
applying for a CDL with a Hazmat endorsement to be fingerprinted and
complete a background check. This applies to transfers also and is for the
purpose of the TSAs security threat assessment. In an effort to stop
terrorists from getting hazardous materials endorsement on their CDLs they
have found a way make more money from truck drivers.

This background check cost around 90 bucks and most companies will pick
up the cost for you. There are many disqualifying factors.

Assault with intent to murder, kidnapping or hostage taking, rape or
aggravated sexual abuse, extortion, robbery, arson, bribery, smuggling,
immigration violations, RICO violations, distribution of, possession with
intent to distribute, or importation of a controlled substance, dishonesty,
fraud, or misrepresentation, including identity fraud (e.g., felony-level
embezzlement, tax evasion, perjury, and false statements to the Federal
government).

Unlawful possession, use, sale, manufacture, purchase, distribution, receipt,
transfer, shipping, transporting, delivery, import, export of, or dealing in
firearms or other weapons Conspiracy or attempt to commit any of these
crimes. Murder, Terrorism, Espionage, Sedition, and Treason and the list
goes on and on. Go to The TSA website for more information if you need it.


You will have to take a written test at the DMV to get this endorsement on
your CDL. It can take up to three months for them to complete this
background check.

The bottom line here is there are probably quite a few drivers that will not be
able to renew their hazmat endorsements in the near future. There were a lot
of drivers that went and renewed their endorsements right before the cut off
date in 2005.

They basically extended their endorsements for 5 years avoiding the new
background checks. So around 2010 there will be quite a few drivers
dropping their hazmat endorsements

for good. This means higher paying jobs for people with clean records like
you now and in the future!

4. A Positive Attitude and a Little Ambition!

This may be the most important factor. Have you ever just been sitting on
the couch trying to watch TV and the doorbell keeps ringing. You finally get
up to open the door and to your surprise there is a line of people outside that
want to give you a high paying job. Not likely!

Good jobs just dont fall out of the sky and find you. You have to first know
what they are and then go get them. Its as simple as applying and working
the numbers to your advantage.

Apply for more than one good job and your chances increase. Negativity is
like cancer; it will eat you up and kill your chances of success! Stay positive
and pursue what it is you are after and you will get it.


5. A Good Work History.

If you can show that you stay at jobs for any length of time you are ahead of
just about everyone in this industry! Any military experience is a plus also.

Even if you dont have a great work history you can sell the fact that youre
looking for a good company to stick with and you are tired of moving
around from job to job. Turn a negative into a positive.

Too many drivers get into this industry and get these jobs where they let you
run illegal. They basically chew you up and spit you out. You run and run
and keep getting in trouble screwing up your MVR and making the company
money.

Then they fire you because their insurance company wont carry you
anymore because of your record. Then they hire a new rookie and screw up
his license. Chew him up and spit him out continuing this process. All the
while they are making money at the drivers expense.

Thus creating poor work history and a bad MVR. Good companies dont
want to gamble on a guy that cant hold a job, has a bad MVR and looks like
he escaped a drug treatment facility. When a company sees you have
worked for ten companies in the last two years they will probably pass on
you.

It cost them money to process background checks, drug tests and process
paperwork. Why should they waste their time and money on you when you
have a history of jumping from job to job?


Each one of these things is important all on their own. Put them all together
and you have exactly what it takes to get a job with a good company. If you
dont have these things in order, get them in order. If you use drugs stop! If
your MVR is dirty start, driving by the book and it will be clean soon.

If you have a ticket, see if you can go to traffic school to get it cleaned up. If
you leave a job, give them 2 weeks notice. You need good references.
These are simple things that you can do and will pay off in the long run.
These things are all you need to advance quickly and be successful in this
industry.

Having any problems with the above listed items can hold a solo driver back
a little. Team drivers are so valuable to trucking companies that they will
overlook a few things.

Reduce all Large and Small Financial Obligations!

In order for the Team Driving Millionaire plan to work you need to get rid of
your overhead (bills). Doing this can be a lot easier than you think it might
be. The fact is you dont need a lot because you will rarely be home to use
anything you might be paying for!

The whole concept for team driving millionaires is taking advantage of the
opportunities that team driver jobs give you and parlay these advantages
into success. An average person with a regular job making the same as a
team driver cannot do what a team driver can do.

A person with a regular job has to maintain a home to sleep at every
night/with bills and utilities.
A person with a regular job is not getting all the tax breaks of a team
driver.
A person with a regular job is off every night and weekend spending
money.
A person with a regular job is driving a car with a payment wasting
money on gas.
A person with a regular job will not have the money to invest.

Team drivers can make money, spend very little, and invest everything!


Car Payments

This is a no-brainer! You dont need one! What a waste of money. Get rid
of any car payments. Not only will you not be driving one very often you
will not be spending money on gas or full coverage insurance. Cars are the
biggest waste of money and depreciate quickly.

If you have two cars, down size to the one thats paid for. You dont get rich
by giving the bank money for interest! A car is nothing more than
transportation. I drive a beat up car and if you want to judge me by my car,
go ahead. When you are done judging me lets compare bank accounts!

Car Insurance

With one car that is paid for you can carry liability insurance. It is much
cheaper than full coverage for a car you still owe money on. If you need
another car later get it later. If you own two cars sell one and invest the cash
now. Use the money calculator to see what this money will be worth in 5
years with compounding interest.

House Payments and Rent

If you own a home you have several choices. This is probably the biggest
advantage of becoming a team driver, and putting this plan in motion!


Rent it out!

Depending on many factors renting your home might be a great idea.
Renting out your extra bedrooms can work too, and you will still have a
place to stay without the big expense. Check your market and talk to your
financial planner and tax guy about the best option for your situation.

If you rent out your entire house, you will basically have other people
paying your mortgage for you! You can usually hire a management company
to do this for you at 1-3% of the rent. Using a management company
eliminates the head ache of finding and maintaining qualified tenants and
collecting rent.

Sell your home.

Invest the money in stock funds! Again you will need personal consultation.
The best plan for you will depend on market conditions, your equity, taxes
etc.. If you already own your home you are way ahead in this game and
wont be driving for very long.

Pay it off

Double or triple your house payments! The right home in the right market
can be an excellent investment. Some will argue that you can write off your
interest on your taxes, but you better make sure that you still qualify for this
write-off with the kind of money you will be making.

I dont personally like giving the bank any money in the form of interest for
anything. You may want to double or triple your house payments designating
the money to go towards the principle.


This is a decision you will make when you sit down with a financial planner
and are going over what will work best. There are a lot of factors to deal
with here like the amount of equity you may have in the home. Property
taxes, the market where you live and the interest write-off on your home.

You may want to rent out your home and triple or quadruple the
payments.

If you dont own a home, you will want to establish residency at the
cheapest rate possible. Pay a friend or family member for a room. Get a
cheap studio apt. if possible.

The Truth about Buying a Home

95% of Americans drink the home buying Kool-aid! Most do so because
they have no other choice. Utilizing the Team Driving Millionaire plan
enables you to take advantage of the biggest advantage available for team
driving couples. You dont need to spend a lot of money on housing! You
can spend very little if you get into a situation like I mentioned earlier.

The problem with buying a house is whether it is really an investment or not.
It can be, but not always. I will let you be the judge.

Lets look at the payment on a $200,000 home loan below. Keep in mind this
is not including insurance and property taxes!


In an effort to keep this simple I used 7.5 percent interest and a 30 year
mortgage. You have a $1,398.43 payment plus insurance and property
taxes. Have you ever wondered why you pay property taxes on a house that
the bank owns? Hmmm.

Here is what you are really paying for that $200,000 you borrowed.

Your payments are rounded off at $16,776 a year for 30 years. You paid the
bank $303,280.00 in interest. $503,208 minus the $200,000 you borrowed


is $303,280.00 in interest! You paid property taxes on the home the bank
owned and you basically threw $303,280.00 in the trash can!

I dont know about you but I work too hard for my money. The thought of
throwing that kind of money in the garbage makes me sick. Banks love
loaning Kool-Aid drinking home buyers money! Look at what they did
with the money you paid them every month.

The bank took your payments and invested the money over the life of your
30 year loan. If they earned a low 7.5 % return they have made
$1,864,725.50 off of your $200,000 loan! Hmmm.

To sum it up you borrowed $200,000
You paid property taxes and insurance on a home the bank owned.
You threw $303,280.00 of your hard earned money in the garbage
can.


The bank took the money out of the garbage and invested it and it
is now worth $1,864,725.50!

If a couple puts the team driving millionaire plan in motion they can put
themselves in a position of the bank. If you own a home you can rent it
out and let someone else pay that mortgage.

You could rent it out and triple the payments. You could sell it and invest
whatever equity you have in some good stock or bond funds. Team Driving
Millionaires are able to do what the bank does in the above situation
and invest the money!

Apartment s

You want to find the cheapest place you can find. You need to have a
residence or you will not qualify for the tax breaks you need. If you dont
have a home you dont qualify for the 75 -80 % of 52 dollars per diem in
meals everyday you are on the road.

You are considered a transient and your home is where you are if you dont
have residency. You dont want that, so find a cheap place. You will hardly
ever be there so grab a tiny studio apt cheap! Get a roommate situation
where you just rent a room. You will be the perfect roommates because you

If you own a house rent out your spare rooms or rent a room from a family
member or friend.

Even when I had my own apartment I had no cable bill and turned my ac and


heat down or up when I was gone.

it is going to be how you get rich. Investing is a crucial factor in the
team driving millionaire plan.

In order for the team driving millionaire plan to work you need to
implement all three of the main factors of this plan together. You cannot
do just one or two of these. All three are a must if you are serious about your
team driving success.

Get the best jobs
Cut costs to a minimum
Invest aggressively

401ks

Ask any financial planner or investment broker and they will all tell you that


a bigger chunk of money invested obviously will earn more interest.
More interest earned and reinvested will compound quicker.

Recent laws enable employees to put as much in their 401ks as they want to
per pay check as long as they dont go over the $15,500 for the year. This is
one thing you want to check out before you take a job with any trucking
company!

Most people are not in a position to do this. This is an incredible
advantage for people using the Team Driving Millionaire plan!

What this enables you to do is stuff the whole $15,500 in your 401k in the
first 3-4 months at the beginning of each year. By putting in the majority
of the whole chunk at the beginning of each year you have your tax exempt
money going to work earning interest immediately!

This will accelerate your investments as opposed to slowly putting in the
money throughout the course of the whole year.

Company Match!

Dont forget about your company matching contributions! Most companies
will match a percentage of around 2-5% of your weekly contributions.

These policies vary so read them carefully. In an effort not to lose any
company matching money you may want to put the first $14,000 in as
rapidly as possible and spread the remaining $1,500 in deductions over
the rest of the year ensuring that you get all of the available company


matching contributions. This is free money and you will want every
penny of it!

You will need to make sure the company you go to work for has a good 401k
plan and that you can put as much in it as possible per week. You need to
find this out before taking the job! Most companies let you contribute
after three months of employment. Check and make sure this is the case
before you get trained by or go to work for a company!

Start putting money in as soon as possible. You can always roll this money
over into your new 401k at your next job when you get it!

401k Tax Breaks

If you make $100,000 and put the $15,500 in a 401k you are down to paying
taxes on $84,500. Then subtract all your meal deductions and equipment
deductions, home interest etc.

You want to take advantage of all the benefits of being a truck driver.
Maxing out a 401k is a must and should be done first. If you are not

IRAs

After you max out your 401k (check with your financial planner) max out
an IRA with whatever you are eligible to put in depending on your tax


status. You have two choices here, so do whatever has the best tax advantage
for your personal situation.

You can choose a traditional IRA or a Roth IRA. They both have different
advantages and disadvantages. To find out more information about IRAs
click here. Maxing out a 401k and then an IRA is a must for the team
driving millionaire plan to work!

Marriage

Check with you financial planner and tax professional about how much you
can put in an IRA depending on your marital status. Sometimes there are
advantages to being single or married when it comes to getting the largest
tax benefit. Im not suggesting you get divorced or married for a few years
to gain tax advantage, but if you did you would not be the first to do so.

Open a Brokerage Account

After maxing out your 401ks and IRAs, I recommend you invest all
remaining funds in a brokerage account. You can use a stock broker if
you are not comfortable with picking investments. You will have ample time
while driving to learn more about investing.

I will provide several sources for gathering this information below. You can
manage your money using a Scottrade or Etrade account from your laptop
while you are on the road.


Make sure you diversify your investment with small, medium, and large cap
stock funds as well as bond funds. Gold and silver are popular investments
for those wanting to diversify. If you are comfortable buying single
company stocks, go for it. You can buy and sell stocks from your brokerage
account as well as in the confines of your IRA. Check with your financial
planner for the best scenario that fits your personal needs and risk level.

Investing every dollar you have to invest above and beyond your 401k
and IRA contributions is necessary for the team driving millionaire plan
to be effective! If you are afraid of investing too aggressively, consider
Certificates of deposit or CDs.

The Power of Compounding Interest!

Lets look at the power of compounding interest. Here is a link to a
calculator; I will provide you with a few more calculators and several more
examples.

Look at the example below at what will happen to $100,000 invested every
year for 7 years with a modest 10 % return. As a team you could be making
as high as 100,000 each a year. So with half your earnings invested for 7
years you could break a million!

I think this is a good example of what could be done if you were not even
trying that hard. I would have much higher expectations and invest more!
Most of my funds have earned a lot more that 10% and I would be investing
a lot more than 50% of my gross.

I used 10 % interest in this situation; I have myself averaged 12 - 25 % on
many stock fund investments over the years. I had a year where I earned
around 100% return on an international fund I was invested in. I personally
think 10% is a safe number to count on but you can play with the numbers
and see some best and worst case scenarios.

are usually broke! What I am saying is that money can buy you freedom.
Free people are usually happier than people who are not, so you do the math
on that one.

You are usually broke all the time living payday to payday. You receive a
check for $10,000 in the mail! What do you do?

If you put the money in the bank and invest it, you have options. For
instance you would know:

That you could go to Cab San Lucas on vacation.


That if all your tires went flat you could replace them.
If your engine blew up you could fix it.
Buy a new flat screen TV.
Buy a boat.
Pay for an attorney should you need one.
The list goes on and on.

Your list of options is endless as long as you keep the money!

Lets say you take that money and go buy a giant plasma TV.

Your options now are to watch TV. If your engine blows up you can stay
home and watch TV. You cant go on vacation, but you can watch it on TV.
You can probably sell the TV for half what you paid for it if you need to.

You now have limited options and limited freedom! The more options you
have the more freedom you have. To know that if you lose your job you
could just lie around and do nothing for a couple of years or longer is
priceless!

If you dont sell the car and keep smoking, in 7 years the car will be worth
nothing! With the price of cigarettes on the rise, and smokers who drive
smoke more, we can safely put the price of smoking at $300 a month!

In 7 years you have spent 7 years of registration ($500), insurance ($700),
and repairs ($500) on a car that is worth nothing ,plus $25,200 on
cigarettes! Wow! Does this sound like a situation where someone is really
putting all their effort into the Team Driving Millionaire plan? You really
need to be honest with yourselves when devising your plan!

This is what would happen if you sold that car ($2,500), quit smoking
($3,600 a year), and invested the money for 7 years at a low 6% interest rate
of return.

island. There will be different companies advertising in this magazine
each month.

I was hired with only Three Months Experience!


The Truth about Experience!

It all depends on what you need the experience for. When driving in a
blizzard experience can come in handy. If you dont have any, try some
common sense.

If you have limited experience and are trying to land a good job. Experience
will be your only weak point if you posses the five points mentioned above.

A driver with more experience has had more exposure to driving and is more
likely to have accumulated tickets or accidents, not to mention a poor work
history. Trucking insurance companies like clean driving records and
trucking companies like a good work history!

Top paying companies have a hard time hiring drivers. I have watched my
boss go through 6 guys just to hire one. They cant pass the background
check or he hires a guy and his drug test comes back positive. Or dont have
the right endorsements on their license and wont get them.

Some of the guys that come through the door for an interview look like they
should be looking for a drug rehab clinic!

Sometimes they will get a guy who doesnt want to work or is late all the
time. Its amazing! I will talk more later about selling yourself but for now
dont worry about having a lot of experience.

Its probably more important to have experience interviewing for jobs than a
whole lot of driving experience. Remember that Teams are more valuable so
you will get hired faster!


How to go After These Jobs

If you have completed school and have some experience, or are already are
an experienced driver. This is an aggressive approach to getting one of these
recommended line-haul jobs.

1. If you are going after a team line haul job with a LTL Company like UPS,
Saia, Estes or Old Dominion go get your doubles and triples endorsement at
the DMV. Study during the week and get it on your weekend. You should
already have your hazmat endorsement. If not you will need to get it also.
You are going to need this because most line-haul companies haul pups.

2. Talk to line haul drivers at truck stop fuel islands about hooking up pups,
maybe they will show you how it all works if you dont already know.
Dont talk to them on C.B. unless you are sure it is them that you are talking
to. Learn as much as you can.

3. Go by a line haul terminal, maybe you will be there filling out an
application. Watch the yard jockey hook up some pups or ask if you can
watch and learn. Watch a driver do it. These are the small things that are
going to help you get a job!

You dont want to get that phone call and not have your endorsements!
Get them ahead of time!

4. Start going to the websites of the companies I have listed. You can click
on these and your browser will open and take you to the site. Scan the
website for a jobs link or employment. Some of these sites will list all
available jobs and locations. Most all you can apply for on line.

5. Look at the coverage area maps. Usually you can see a list of all the


terminals here. If you look around you will find all this information. I
would go through every company and find all the terminals close to where I
live. Then I would look and see if they are hiring and apply. Apply even if
they are not hiring.

6. Look at these coverage maps on the sites and write down the telephone
information to these terminals. Call and talk to the terminal manager and
show interest in a job. (More in a minute) See if you can go and fill out an
application even if there is no opening. Or just go over there and introduce
yourself!

7. Personally, I would fill out applications online and also go in person and
fill one out. Dont worry about not having the required experience level that
is posted on these websites. These may vary between 1-3 years. If that was
really the case why did they hire me with only three months?

In a perfect world these companies would like to follow these criteria.
Unfortunately its not a perfect world for them. Just getting someone with a
clean MVR who can pass a drug test or background check can be a problem
for them! So they will make exceptions all the time!

8. If the application asks if you have any doubles and triples experience I
would put or write in very little. You did experience the written test.

The bottom line here is everyone has to learn somewhere and your goal here
is to get an interview so you can sell yourself. By now you know how it all
works. You will maybe need someone to help you your first time when you
get hired and then you will be fine.

9. I would apply for every job posted from every company anywhere in the
country! Thats right! And I would call them, too. Sometimes


you have to go where the job is if you want to advance as fast as
possible.

It is hard to get a job somewhere if they are not hiring. If you have time to
wait fine, otherwise apply at the ones that are. Are you willing to relocate?
Most of these companies will let you transfer to another terminal after one
year. Remember Team drivers are more valuable and get hired faster.

So just do a year somewhere and transfer back. This is one of the great
things about these jobs. You can live anywhere you want to. I prefer states
with no state income taxes.

Think of it like this. Ask just about anyone you know this question. If their
job would give them a 30,000 dollar pay raise, but they had to relocate,
would they do it? I dont know too many people that would turn that down.
Life is a numbers game; you have to use the numbers to your advantage!

You could sit around and wait for the terminal by your house to start hiring
and hope that when they do they hire you. Or you can take charge of your
life and use the numbers to your advantage.

The numbers in this scenario are one terminal that is not hiring vs. maybe 70
or more that are hiring around the country. I just checked my company
website while writing this and 18 terminals are hiring line-haul drivers right
now!

If you are not willing to relocate, see how many of these companies listed
have terminals near you. There is a good chance that there are at least 5
nearby. Apply online and in person if possible at all 5. Talk to these terminal
managers and keep contact with them. (See below)


10.Check these sites weekly for job posting changes. Do not miss a week.
This is very important! The one week you dont check might have been
your opportunity. Dont miss it!

Sell Yourself

When you get an interview or are talking to a terminal manager on the
telephone. Focus on your strengths! When they bring up experience be
honest and then immediately start selling them on your strengths listed
below.

1. Tell them you can pass a drug test 7 days a week 365 days a year!

2. Tell them about your good work ethic and that you never call- in sick!

3. Tell them about what a safe driver you are, and about your perfect driving
record. No tickets or accidents in however long!

4. Tell them about your good work history and how you want a career
working for a good company. You dont want to bounce around from
company to company.

5. Tell them you are willing to re-locate. (If you are)

6. If they ask why you want to leave your current job, do not bad mouth the
company you work for! Tell them you like the company but you want to
advance, make more money and have a career with a better company and
benefits.


7. Try to be upbeat and positive!

8. Challenge them to let you prove yourself!

9. If you dont get in the first time keep contacting them. Everyday that goes
by you have one more day experience.

One day I was talking to a driver and who had been working for a break-in
company for 6 years. He was making 31 cents a mile. When I asked him
why and he stated that he applied at an LTL company once and they never
called him back.

Wow! Way to go after that job! Maybe he should have just gone home to
the couch and waited for someone to ring the doorbell and give him a job!
Im surprised he made it to where he was at! You cant put a price on what a
little ambition and a positive attitude can do for you. Set some goals and go
for it!

The Persistence of a Gambler

After living in Las Vegas for 15 years, and working in a gaming
environment with 7,000 co-workers under one roof, I learned a lot about
gamblers. Gambling is a sickness, but with anything in life, if you look hard


enough there is always a positive that can be found. I had a lot of serious
degenerate gambling peers, and even dabbed in it a little myself for a time.

Serious gamblers know something that most casual gamblers dont know. It
is a secret, and the reason that they gamble like they do. The casual gambler
thinks that they might win, so, they play a little bit to see what happens. The
degenerate gambler knows that he will win!

The degenerate gambler knows that he will win again and again. A gambler
whose taste is for video poker probably hits 100 royal flushs a year or more!
Sometimes they get 2 -3 a night. This is a fact, and they know it will
happen!

When a gambler runs out of money in an effort to hit the next royal, he will
go to the pay-check advance store to get more ammunition. If he hasnt hit it
with that ammunition, he will haul stuff to the pawn shop to get more ammo.
If that fails, he may call friends and borrow money. Nothing will stop him.

A gambler will keep at it until Bam! He hits the royal that he knew he
would! Does the gambler stop now that he hit the royal he has been working
so hard for? No way! The gambler wouldnt be a gambler if he stopped
gambling.

He has to get a couple more Four of a kinds, and maybe another Royal
Flush so he can get his stuff out of the pawn shop! He will stay out all
night and half the next day if he has to get the job done.

You will not find anyone on the planet with more persistence, determination,
perseverance, and ambition for accomplishing one goal than a gambler!
Their focus, sacrifice, and the ability to follow through with a mission until
it is accomplished is unparalleled.

Earlier I mentioned the driver I spoke to that said he, Applied for a job at a
line-haul company one time and they never called him back. I said Way to


go after that job. The fact that you can get a good job is no different than
the fact a gambler is going to win. If you go after that good job like the
casual gambler gambles, you may or may not get it in this lifetime.

If you go after these jobs like the degenerate gambler, you will have one
before you know it! The good news is you dont have to borrow money or
pawn your belongings to do it. You just have to follow the plan in the section
How to go after these jobs and be as persistent and determined as a
degenerate gambler!

The Pay Off

I cant help but wonder how many thousands of truck drivers making 25-
35 cents a mile drove by my terminal when my terminal manager was
looking to hire new drivers.

He was digging through the applications looking for my name. He was
looking for the guy who kept following up with him. He was looking for the
guy who said he had a solid work history, and could pass a drug test
anytime.

How many drivers were driving by with their bad attitudes and
misinformation as he found my application? I bet they never even applied.

With only three months experience I was hired by one of the best trucking
companies in the industry. People e-mail me and say the website says you
need 3 years experience. I read the same thing when I applied. It didnt
keep me from applying, and it didnt stop me from calling more than once.
Most importantly it didnt keep me from getting hired!


Mix a positive attitude, persistence, ambition, and a good plan together in
a glass and you will taste success when you drink from it every time!

Bad Information

Dont get caught up in all the negativity out there on the road. Too many
drivers just spread bad information about jobs, companies, directions and
drivers, etc.

Some of these drivers have an axe to grind with a company who fired them
or didnt hire them. Sometimes people feel the need to put others down to
feel good about what they are doing. Most are just afraid to take a chance or
have low self-esteem issues. Most of these drivers have screwed up their
MVR so bad they cant get a good job and dont want you to either.

If I would have listened to the break-in company I worked for or the drivers
on the road, I would still be working for 27-30 cents a mile and be sleeping
in a truck stop somewhere miserable just like them.

Remember misery loves company! Do your own thing and leave them all
behind. Stick to your goals and you will achieve them!

On the Road Plan

Eat cheap and take advantage of tax breaks

You can each claim around 75 -80% of $52 dollars a day each for food on
your taxes. Do you need to spend this much? No. I survived on slim fast
bars and cheap sandwiches for a long time. Go to Wal-mart and plan ahead.
You dont want to pay truck stop prices for food or sodas.

Spending money at truck stops is foolish and will slow down your progress
considerably! The Per Diem tax benefit for truck drivers seems to
change just about every year to the drivers advantage! Check with your
tax guy about the meal per diem benefit for truck drivers!

I talked to a husband wife team working for Old Dominion that is surviving
on 100 dollars a week! Think about the tax advantage of doing this. You
could be claiming that much each day between the two of you on your taxes.
If you are a smoker quit! You are wasting valuable investment money! The
team for Old Dominion was making just below 60 cents a mile! They
have it all figured out.

Tax Breaks

The list of tax deductions for truck drivers is almost endless. This is another
one of the great benefits of the Team Driving Millionaire plan. The
reality is that you would use a lot of these things if you were not a truck


driver but would get no tax benefit until now.

If it relates to you being gone from home and living on the road for your job
it probably can be deducted. Save all your receipts and check with a
competent tax professional before making a major purchase to make sure

Most good companies have about 8-10 paid holidays each year. By driving
during these times you will be getting paid twice and investing twice as
much too! This can lead to huge numbers with compounding interest
after a few years!

Make it Fun

As a team driver you will be driving a truck with plenty of room for a TV
Xbox, C.B. Radio, Sirius XM satellite radio, laptop, etc. I had a regular
routine of listening to my favorite shows, news, playing games etc. on a
daily basis. Enjoy yourself and the time you have together.

Sirius XM Radio Check out the list of programs available 24 hours
a day. Sirius XM Radio has over 100 channels of uninterrupted
programming. News, traffic, weather, Sports, and everything from
Martha Stewart to Howard Stern and Oprah!

Social Networks Keep in touch with family and friends from the
road using social media sites such as YouTube, Face book, MySpace
etc... You can share your videos and pictures from the road and keep
loved ones updated on what you are up to.


Exercise

Stop and exercise a little bit. Get those rubber bands and work your
body. Get out and run around the truck when switching drivers. You
have to get a little exercise every day.

Develop a routine and the time will fly by. Money doesnt do you any
good if your health goes on you, so get out and exercise a little bit!

Stay Out and Drive

Most drivers are whining to their dispatchers about getting home on time.
When you tell the dispatchers that you will stay out and drive they will
love you. You will find yourself getting good runs and they will take care of
you. A team that doesnt care about getting home is going to get better
miles and make more money.

Stay out and drive. If you get a job with the linhaul companies they will pay
for a hotel for you when you run out of hours to drive and need to take a 34
hour break. The whole purpose of getting rid of your home or renting it
out is because you are going to stay out and drive and make more

I have mentioned several times that you will need a financial planner and a
competent tax guy to consult with. Depending on your level of knowledge

is a great thing for truck drivers. More programming and you can listen to

Save your receipt and give it to your tax guy. You can write off the price of


your satellite radio and your monthly subscription because you need it for
work! Thats right; you will need this for traffic and weather reports.

While driving listen to shows like Mad Money! Jim Crammer is a genius in
my opinion. You will be driving for hours every day so take advantage of
this time to learn about investing your money. I look at my driving time
as school time and learn as much as I possibly can about anything and
everything. I suggest using this time to learn about money. Jim Crammer
is on Sirius XM Radio.

My Friend Bobs Radio Guy, Dave Ramsey

My friend bob is calling me all the time and talking about what this guy
has to say. I usually agree with everything he says so according to Bob
you have to listen to Dave Ramsey! Dave is supposed to be an expert at
helping people eliminate debt and living within their means. Dave
Ramsey is also on Sirius radio.

The last time I checked you could get a subway restaurant started for
$50,000. Subways have been the # 1 franchise for a long time for a good
reason. They make money and have a proven system that works. Subway
will tell you that most people who open a subway open another within one
year of opening their first one.

Like Robert Kiyosaki says in Rich Dad Poor Dad. It is not an investment if
you have to go to work running something. You have just created another job
for yourself. The key is to hire competent management. You could be a year
or two into your team driving and decide to open a Subway.

Hire competent management and keep driving. Open another the following
year. You could end up owning several. Brokerage accounts, real estate, and
franchise opportunities are excellent ways to propel yourselves toward your
goals.

The key here is you will be making the money to invest in whatever you are
most comfortable with. Without team driving, lowering your overhead and
taking advantage of all the tax breaks available to you, you would not have
had the money to pursue such things.

Making the money and wasting it on cars, trucks, clothes, and other
depreciating inanimate objects will only slow your investment potential to a
crawl. There will be time for toys when the passive income dollars come
rolling in!

The Transfer of Earned Income to Passive Income!

Wikpedia definition:
Passive income is a rent received on a regular basis, with little effort required to maintain
it. It is advocated by some authors, especially by Robert Kiyosaki.
Some examples of passive income are:
Repeated regular income, earned by a sales person, generated from the payment
of a product or service that must be renewed on a regular basis, in order to
continue receiving it's benefits - also called residual income.
Rental from property;
Royalties from publishing a book or from licensing a patent or other form of
intellectual property;
Earnings from internet advertisement on your websites;
Earnings from a business that does not require direct involvement from the owner
or merchant;
Dividend and interest income from owning securities, such as stocks and bonds,
are usually referred to as portfolio income, which can be considered a form of
passive income;
Pensions.
Passive income is usually taxable. The American Internal Revenue Service defines
passive income as "any activity... in which the taxpayer does not materially participate."

In our case we will be referring to the dividend, interest part unless you are
renting a home and the internet advertisements section as described in
section 8 of this eBook. The last sentence describes passive income best as
an activity that the tax payer does not participate. This is the goal! That
means making money without working!

You get earned income from working for someone else! So with the


Team Driving Millionaire plan we are taking advantage of our earned
income situation, and turning it into investment vehicles that generate
passive income. If we own a home we are renting it, or selling it, to create
passive income. In section 8 I talk about how to get started creating even
more passive income on the internet while you drive.

When you start the team driving millionaire plan you will probably be at
100% earned income and 0% passive income level. If you already have
money saved or invested you will have a head start. After you have
implemented the Team Driving Millionaire plan and have been driving for a
little bit these numbers start to change.

The interest earned in your 401k is passive income. The company matching
contributions are passive income. The interest earned in your IRAs is
passive income. The money earned in your brokerage account is passive
income. Any money earned from internet advertising will be passive income.

The Trick

I think most people really have it backwards when it comes to money!


When they eventually get some and get around to investing they diversify.

your life and give you security. I remember going to work years ago and
being afraid after hearing rumors of lay-offs. I would think What am I
going to do? How will I survive?

Multiple sources of passive income are the solutions to this problem. The
Trick is Diversify the way you earn money the same as you would
invest your money! If you do this you will not be entirely dependent on
one source of income. This is the trick!

You do this by having your team driving jobs; 401ks, IRAs, brokerage
accounts, rental properties or investments, website revenues, business,

The more money you make the more you can invest and reinvest. The more
passive income you create the more options you will have. The more options
you have the more freedom you will have to do as you please.

Stick with what Works


If you have built up a chunk of money driving maybe you want to just keep
doing what got you there in the first place! Keep it simple and keep
maxing out that 401k, IRA, and brokerage account! Continue to make
wise investments and use the power of compounding interest to your
advantage. Sometimes the simplest plans are the best plans.

Keep Working

You may like driving so much you want to keep doing it.

You may save a nest egg up and hang up the trucking keys. Truck
driving can get old for some people after awhile. Go get a regular old
job and sit back and watch your money grow. You can roll over your
401k and watch it and your IRAs grow each year. Wait for the number
to reach what you want it to be and retire.

Instant Gratification

Purchasing this eBook is an example of instant gratification! You didnt
have to go out and but it or wait for it to come in the mail. You downloaded
and started reading it instantly. Americans are very addicted to instant
gratification.


The minute they get a pay raise what do they do? They go finance that new

what did they do? Did they set up a plan to be done working in 4 to 10
years or less? No way! They went out and financed new pick-up trucks,
boats and houses.

They financed their lives away and sentenced themselves to driving for
probably the rest of their lives, because you can bet they will keep doing it.
Buying vehicles that they are rarely home to drive or a house that they are
hardly ever home to sleep in. How can some people get it so wrong?

Instant gratification and the fact that our public schools have never really
taught finance very well. If these people had a plan and a little discipline
they could have all of those things without working a life time to pay for
them. Instead they will give the banks hundreds of thousands of their
money that could have been used for retirement!

Withdrawing your Money


Tax on Early Distributions from Irs.gov

401K

If a distribution is made to an employee under the plan before he or she
reaches age 59, the employee may have to pay a 10% additional tax on the
distribution. This tax applies to the amount received that the employee must
include in income.

Exception: Made as part of a series of substantially equal periodic
payments beginning after separation from service and made at least
annually for the life or life expectancy of the employee or the joint lives or
life expectancies of the employee and his or her designated beneficiary.

(The payments under this exception, except in the case of death or disability,
must continue for at least 5 years or until the employee reaches age 59,
whichever is the longer period.) Check with your financial planner and tax
professional.

Health Insurance

If you decide to cash out and retire early you will have to decide if you will
risk having health insurance or not. If you choose to pay make sure you
account for this in the planning process. Depending on how old you are
there could be a big gap until you qualify for Medicare so buying your own


insurance should be in your plan.

The key to not going broke before you die!

It really depends on how much you think you can live on. Will you pay for
your own health care, etc?

Lets say you have $1,300,000 saved and you decide to cash out. To avoid
penalties and make your money last you will need to ration it out and take
payments equal to 5%. Now as long as your money earns 5.1% or better
each year you will never run out!

5% of this is $65,000 dollars a year. So you ask for equal payments of
$65,000 until you reach the age of 59 and a half and then you can take more.

By taking less than 6% you are insuring that your principle of $1,300,000
will continue to grow each year in the future. Retirement Info

Something Funny

So many Americans work jobs they dont like for 45 or more years of their
lives. They save what they can and retire. With nothing to do they finance an
R.V. and drive around the country rationing out their Social Security money
seeing the sights.


These people could have saved 38 years of wasted time buy just getting
trucking jobs as team drivers. To me its funny to see them driving down the
highway spending money to do something they could have gotten paid Top
Dollar to do. They waited and worked a whole lifetime to do what they
could have already done. They could have done it and seen everything
retiring millionaires in 4 - 10 years or less!

You and your wife could have low paying jobs living payday to payday. In

Every day!

Pick a Topic

1. The first thing you need is pick a trucking related subject that you will
talk about on your website. Then think of a domain name that is related to
this subject. Like truckingsecrets.com, .net etc. Lets say your site will
be about truck driving stories. You may want to try to buy
truckdrivingstories.com. You can buy domain names for around 10
dollars or less.


2. Note * Keep all receipts so you can write off any items on your taxes! I
buy all my domains at Godaddy and then point them to Hostgator for
cheaper hosting.

3. You will need to get web hosting. A Hosting server is where your website
files are stored so they can be accessed by people searching on the
internet. The cheapest web hosting can be found at Hostgator. You can
also buy a domain name there if you want but they cost a couple bucks
more than at godaddy. Godaddy also has sales frequently so I buy my
domains there and just point them to Hostgator.

4. The great thing about Hostgator is it is a month to month service with
no contract of any kind. For fewer than 10 bucks a month you can host
as many websites as you want for no additional charge. Hostgator has
website builders and blog templates that are easy to use and better also.
They have 24 hour customer support and can help you with any
problems.

I see deals online that say if I buy a domain name they will host my site for
free? Warning- Godaddy does this but do not do it!

The problem with this is internet directories will not list websites from
free hosting communities! I found this out the hard way! You will not be
able to drive traffic to your website without being listed in internet
directories!

Without traffic to your site no one will click your Google ads! I will show
you multiple ways to get free traffic to your website but you must have a
hosted site! The second problem with free hosting is forced
advertising!!!!

How to you think these free hosting plans pay for the free hosting? They


put ads on your website. This is the same money that you want to earn from
your site in the first place. The whole point of building a website is to earn
money not give it away!

In the future when you are getting traffic to your site you may want to sell
banner advertising. There is a lot of money in this. There is not one company
out there who will pay to have a banner on a free hosted website with some
cheesy website template from a free hosted community!

You must have traffic to sell banner advertising! There is a lot of money
in selling banner advertising on your website! Get a cheap hosting plan
with no contact and go month to month.

The bottom line is for 1 domain name and I month of hosting you have spent
less than 20 bucks! I own so many domain names and they all pay for
themselves hundreds of times over with Google ads alone! I will show you
how to make money just buying domain names!

Google

As soon as you get the theme of your site put together, put some Google ads
on your site right away. Go to Google adsense and sign up. Its free! They
have a tutorial and will walk you through this easy process!


You buy a domain name and hosting for a couple bucks a month. Use a
website template from Hostgator to build your site and place Google ads on
your pages. You are almost done.

Get Free Traffic to your Website

You have purchased a domain name and web hosting. Now lets get
some traffic to your site so you can start making some Google profits off
those ads!

The #1 way to get free traffic and its free!

Ezine articles

Ezines are short little articles you write and post to ezine websites. They
contain links back to your website. These links help your website rankings
with the search engines. These articles also get indexed by search engines.

Great things about ezines!

They are free to write and use.
Promote your website and link back to your website from the article.
These ezine articles can be picked up by anyone and put on their
website as long as the link to your website is intact.
You can use other peoples ezine articles to provide content for your
website.

Here is an example from one of my websites where I use other peoples
articles for content. Cdlpracticetest.net. Look at all the Google ads on this


website!

Here are the most popular places to post or get your articles for free! You
will be able to find content here for just about any website topic.

Free Internet directories

Another way to boost you website rankings is to list your website in internet
directories. Internet directories catalogue websites in different categories
with a link back to your website.

For a list of popular free internet directories go to Directory Max. For a
couple bucks the will submit them for you saving you a bunch of time! I use
this service because im to busy doing other things. For a Complete list of
free and paid directories go to the Directory Critic. You can submit them
manually for free!

Blogging

Blogger Its Free

Create a blog or multiple blogs and put your articles there and point links to
your website. You can also put your adsense ads on your blog. When you
create blogs and link them to your website your website will get higher


rankings.

Higher rankings mean more traffic. More traffic means more clicks on
Google ads. More Money!

Contact Trucking Websites and Exchange Links

Contact other trucking sites and exchange links! You send them traffic and
they send you traffic. Exchanging links with a popular trucking site will help
your rankings and bring you more traffic!

I own several trucking websites and when you are ready to exchange links

More Free ways to earn on your website

Adsense Websites

You can make a very good living just creating adsense websites. Too many
people are looking for that one big score that is going to make them a bunch
of money.

Can you imagine making $1,000 a day? If you go looking for a job that
pays $1,000 a day you will be looking when you are old and gray! As an


aggressive entrepreneur I can tell you the easy way you do it. Create 10
projects that pay $100 a day. Create 20 things that pay you $50 a day. This
approach is much more realistic and obtainable than one project that pays
you $1,000 a day! If you go this route you will find your $1,000 a day
before you know it.

Making adsense sites for profit follows this principle but on a smaller level.
A domain costs 8 -10 bucks. A simple adsense site with free articles and
Google ads can earn you 50 cents to 10 dollars a day depending on variables
such as the topic, keywords, and advertisers spending money on your topic
in Google advertising.

At 50 cents a day you would turn a 170 dollar profit on your investment each
year. Are you getting the picture?? 100 adsense sites at a dollar a day and
you have $100 a day= $36,500 a year! You can multiply this number all you
want! Some domain owners have thousands of adsense websites!

Here are a few examples of my adsense sites that I earn 1 5
dollars a day in Google ads with!

If you build an adsense website each day for one year you would make more
than you could ever imagine driving a truck. 365 sites making 50 cents to 5
dollars a day. Hmmmm. What if you made 2 adsense sites a day for a
year?

Amazon.com

List products for sale on your site from amazon.com. They will pay you
between 4% and 10% for sales. Its Free! Check out my Truck Driver
supply store. You can list individual products for sale on you website from
Amazon also and make excellent profits! Look at cdlpracticetest.net at the
bottom of the page.

Caf press

Caf press is free also! Create and sell t-shirts and mark up the price as high
as you want! Put these t-shirts on you website and blog. Check out my
friends site at Truckerjunk.com or my T-shirt store.

After Your Revenue Has Peaked!

The key to making money from your site is taking your initial profits and
reinvesting the money in to your site so it will become more profitable! You
put up a basic site and earn some money from your Google ads.

Then take those profits and parlay them into more money. Below are a few
products that will help you do this quickly!

You do not need these products to get started with your website! Get a
domain name and hosting. Then mess around with a website template


and Google ads. When you are ready to make more money go to the
next level.

Adsense Websites

When I was talking about making adsense websites I put up an example of
paidcdltraining.net. This is the software you use to create adsense sites like
that. It cost about 100 dollars but you will have to do the math on this one.
You will make 2-3 times per adsense site than anything else you can put
together.

It has 5 different advertising streams you can use and it works. If you want
to sit at home and make a living making adsense sites this is a must
have. Go to the site and watch his videos, its easy to use. I would have paid
a $1,000 for this program!! Again you will need hosting at Hostgator to run a
script of this nature. Look at the hosting requirements at the bottom of his
sales page!

The bottom line is you need the program, domain names, and cheap hosting
to make profits. You can write off these investments on your taxes if you
itemize. Check with your tax preparer for information about tax write offs.

Sell your domains

The first thing I do when I buy a domain name is list it for sale! I just
paid 8-10 bucks for a domain and I list it for a minimum of $100 depending
on the domain. I just sold 2 last week! The more traffic you have the more
they are worth! My Richtruckdriver.com is listed for $200,000 dollars.

If I already built an adsense website for a domain I list it for $500 to $1,000.
You never know who might buy it! Godaddy does domain appraisals and
you can list domains for sale there also. Good Luck!
