KIND ATTENTION: 2008 BATCH STUDENTS All 2008 batch students who have paid their 1st installment

fee can create their STUDENT LOGIN. Students whose admission is provisional and / or program fee is outstanding (in part / full), will not be allowed to appear for any online examinations. Creating STUDENT LOGIN will give you access for STUDENT CENTRE on our website This will enable you to access all required and necessary information about online EXAM / ASSIGNMENT, FEE STATUS, DISPATCH DETAILS etc. HOW TO CREATE STUDENT LOGIN Kindly refer to Page No. 46 in Welcome Kit (Blue color thin booklet) for additional details. You may also use the following process / steps to create a student login. 1. Please click www.scdl.net 2. Click on NEW STUDENT (displayed at the bottom of the message board) 3. Click on NEW USER REGISTRATION 4. Enter your Student ID / Registration No. 5. Enter your Date of Birth - First select Month, Year and then Date 6. Click on Proceed. Registration Form Window opens, in which you can create your unique Login Id by entering User Name and Password. (Login ID and password can be of students choice and student must remember his / her Login ID and Password ill the completion of program.) PID Message: In rare cases, it appears under Login ID and Password details. Please note that it is Personal ID No. or Registration Number. Revert to SCDL for further info. Once you create your STUDENT LOGIN, you are required to go to Existing Student Login which appears on the Right Hand side of Home Page on our website www.scdl.net Now you have access to submit online assignments for 1st semester. Periodically, semester wise, your subjects will be uploaded and assignments will be released in future. Once again, please note that Assignments are to be submitted ONLINE only. Kindly note that 2008 batch students can submit their online assignments of ANY SUBJECT - ANY TIME within the program validity period. Online assignment can be attempted / submitted from anywhere provided internet facility is available. Assignment Related Information Once you create your student login and get the access to STUDENT CENTRE, you can go ahead with submitting assignments semester wise online one month after the commencement of the Program/ respective Semester. 1. For each subject, student needs to submit two assignments (Assignment 1 and Assignment II) 2. Students are required to score minimum 25 marks out of 50 marks in each assignment to attain a pass status. 3. Students can complete all the assignment attempts with n number of session breaks. 4. The duration of each assignment (I and II each) is 40 minutes. 5. Two free attempts can be availed for each assignment (Assignment I and Assignment II) of each subject 6. The higher marks out of the two attempts will be considered as the final score for Assignment I and Assignment II respectively. 7. Third attempt will be provided only to those students who have failed even after availing two attempts. For 3rd attempt, a processing fee of Rs 100/- for Indian Residents and US $ 10 for NRI / International Students per subject per assignment will be charged, which can be sent across via Demand Draft (drawn in favor of The Director, SCDL" payable at Pune). Student needs to mention his/ her Registration No. & Name of Subject (for which the assignment is t be attempted) on the reverse of the DD and forward the same to SCDL along with the Service Request Form which is available on our website www.scdl.net (Student Services Student Support Services)

8. The student can attempt to clear the assignments anytime within the validity period of the program This applies to all semester assignments after they have been released in appropriate semesters. Please note that those students who have not been able to clear the assignment of any subject even after availing all attempts, no further paid/ unpaid attempt/s will be given to clear any uncleared / failed subject assignment. 9. In order to pass the assignments, thorough reading of the SLM is a must. The entire SLM (both Modules) should be referred for Assignment I as well as Assignment II Note: There are no online assignments for the programs: DCW and ADCW. Incomplete Assignment / Assignment in progress Cases. An Assignment status which is displayed as assignment in progress or incomplete assignment/ session means that the duration allotted to complete the assignment (i.e. 40 minutes) or the number of questions to be attempted (i.e. 24 questions) is not reached. Which ever is completed first, the result for the subject attempted is declared as pass/ fail. If a student leaves an assignment midway or without answering any questions, it will be considered as an incomplete session. When student logs in the next time to complete that assignment, he/ she will see the following display and should click on the subject to attempt the remaining questions in the remaining time.

It is recommended that student should store/ save the screenshot/s of any technical error that occur at the time of submission of assignment and forward that to SCDL, so that his queries can be resolved more effectively and efficiently. Student can re-login and complete the balance/ remaining questions of the incomplete assignment. Exam Related Information Online exam process commences at the end of each semester. For 2008 batch First Semester online exams will commence in FEBRUARY 2009. Online exam details will be available on the SCDL website by mid of Dec 2008 under the link Online Exam Info for 2008 Batch Minimum passing marks for each exam are 50 out of 100. Note: There are no online exams for programs: PGDPTT, CPED, ADCW, and DCW. Projects/ Submissions/ Resource file related Information: Projects: It is a part of the last semester curriculum of PGDIT and PGDID program. Minimum passing marks are 50 out of 100 Submissions: For programs like DCW and ADCW, the evaluations will be in the form of submissions. The same has to be submitted to SCDL at the end of each semester (Submission I and Submission II respectively). Minimum passing marks are 25 out of 50 for each submission (I and II each)

Resource file: For program PGDPTT a resource file has to be submitted to SCDL at the end of the second semester. Minimum passing marks are 50 out of 100 Practical: This is also a part of PGDPTT program which comprises of Observation classes, Teaching classes, Lesson Plans in collaboration with Schools. One practical in each semester has to be submitted i.e. Practical I and II. For detailed information please refer to Page Nos. 24 & 25 of the welcome kit. Minimum passing marks are 25 out of 50 for each Practical (I and II each) For information on online assignments, exams, projects, submissions, resource file, practical etc, please refer to Page Nos. 21 to 26 of the welcome kit. Marks Weight age for final Diploma processing Percentage of marks considered for the final grades of Diploma Certificate: 70% of all the Examination marks 30% of all the Assignment marks 100% of the Research Methodology Assignment marks 100% marks of Projects 50% marks of each Submission 50% marks of each Practical 50% of Assignment marks and 50% of Resource File marks (For PGDPTT program) Students must submit & pass in all online assignments, exams, projects (if any), practical (if any), and resource file/submissions (if any) on or before the last date of their program validity period. Program Validity Period: # The program duration for 2008 Post Graduate Diploma 2 years Program is till June 30, 2010. The validity period for 2 year program is till June 30, 2012. # The Program duration for 2008 Post Graduate Diploma 1 year Program is till June 30, 2009. The validity period for 1 year program is till June 30, 2010. # The Program duration for 2008 6 months Certificate Program is till Dec 2008. The validity period for 6 months Certificate Program is till June 2009. Computer Environment recommended for submitting the assignments successfully: Please refer to page no. 43 and 44 of Welcome Kit (Blue color thin booklet) 1. Online assignment can be attempted/submitted from anywhere provided internet facility is available. 2. You may use a PC or a laptop with the required configuration and internet speed of 256kpbs. Please find the machine configuration details in your welcome kit. Do not use roaming wireless data cards for internet access towards the purpose of Submitting assignments or e-Learning viewing etc. 3. While attempting an assignment, please make sure that your popup blocker is disabled. You can disable it by right clicking on the popup blocker and choosing the disable option. 4. You also need to have a Flash Media Player of 8.0 Version or more. For further Queries Please send a mail to the respective e-mail ID.
