Even after tryint these if it didnt work... Please add 990c or 660c drivers.. and select the same port which is selected in the default printer... First print a test page using the 990 printer icon.. if its working. Than you can printing the document you want and it will surely work. 1. Open the File you want to print. 2. Click the File menu. 3. Select "Page setup". 4. A page setup window pops up. 5. Set the minimum values ( 0.25 inch ) for Top, Bottom, Left & Right margins. 6. Ensure that the 'US Letter' (or appropriate) paper size is selected in the paper size option. 7. Click Apply and then click OK. 8. Now try printing. 0 Reply Fox96706

09-21-2010 12:44 AM Hi hope this reply help everyone. You can also change the region on your printer on your area. Like if you're in US you have to change the region for the printer to US, etc.
By changing the region depending on the unit. you ahve to press setup > preferences > set region/country. Make sure the region is set accordingly to your location. cause on most region they have there specific paper size and type for example in US they are using letter size paper so if you set the region on the printer to US it will set the defaults of the printer for letter size paper and for australia they are using a4 paper. So if you are using an a4 paper on printer which is set to US there will be problems on the printout like it would miss the bottom part of page. This is proven and tested and it works mostly on all of the printers that I have troubleshooted but if ever it would still be the same you can try experimenting on the size of paper you are using. However, I do not need the printer to work, I only need the scanner. But the scanner is not accesible becouse the device can not get passed the catrige error. MY question is, how do I use my scanner withouthaving to solve the catrige problem (I do not want to purchase the overpriced HP catriges just to use the scanner part of the device) In short: How do I get passed that annoying money sucking error and just get to use my scanner?! I would appreciate some help from HP and their staff! I have been paying the catriges for over few years now...I belive I have earned the right for an answer. 0 Reply silverfoxhp

Folks, this may not help you (sorry) but it took me 2 frustrating years to fix when my HP C6380 printer regularly missed off the bottom of the pages when printing. I am not a newbie. I went to Control Panel, Printers, Properties, Ports then I un-chceked "enable bidirectional support". I now never have the problem. Of course it may not fix your problems but good luck anyway.

When I click onan answer, I get this. I do not know why. I need to resolve the problem also.
ction phInputContWfv(myForm) { var retVar = wfv(myForm) return retVar; } function validateSuccess(id) { $("#"+id).removeClass("failedValidation"); } function validateFail(label, inputElement) { //TODO: find test cases for the ELSE condition and refactor to eliminate inline //css if possible. var $inputElement; var current; if($(inputElement).attr("class") == "HPSelect"){ $inputElement = $(inputElement).parent().find(".replacedSelect"); current = $("#"+label).addClass("error"); $inputElement.addClass("error"); $inputElement.focus(); }else{ $("#"+label).addClass('failedValidation'); $("#"+inputElement.id).addClass('failedValidation'); inputElement.focus(); } validated = false; } String.prototype.trim = function() { return this.replace(/(? ?:^|\n)\s+|\s+(?:$|\n))/g,""); }; 0 Reply
I have found a fix to the problem...... 1] Goto Devices And Printers .. 2] Right clicck on your printer and click on Printing preferences. 3] click on Paper/Quality Tab. 4] select a4 in paper size. 5] Done! See pictures!!
