Car performance competition part 1 Each car will be given two opportunities to traverse a specified distance carrying a container that holds a specified amount of water. The distance will be between 15-30 m and the load will be between 0 and 500 ml of water. The goal of the competition is to have the model car stop at the specified finish line. Participants are also required to abide by various safety rules as specified in the rules of the competition. Details of the competition and safety rules can be downloaded from www.apcche2012.sg Car performance competition part 2 Each car will be given one opportunity to traverse a specified distance on a ramping track, the slope of the ramp is less than 10 degrees. The winning team is the car that reaches the destination/ finishing line in the shortest duration Team members The maximum team size is 5 participants. Two of them must be chemical engineering students. Multi-disciplinary teams are encouraged Size of the car The fully assembled car must fit into a shoebox of dimensions no larger than 40 cm (L) x 30 cm (W) x 30 cm (H).
