Synchronisable colour wheel VCV 020 8CD 7 colours wheel including a synchronous motor that can be very simply clicked on site to the generators MCV 520, MCV 524 and MCV 528, and HF versions. The wheel is rotating by incrementation at the speed that can be manually adjusted (from 3 seconds to 3 min.). For more generators used,the wheels can be synchronised by a deported system. Or it can be done manually if required for testing purposes for example. An additional button ON/OFF is added for manual use. The wheel needs to be powered by 24 V AC. End-light harnesses

Standard duty and waterproof end-light harnesses Philips fibre optic end-light harnesses are constructed from polymethylmethacrylate PMMA, a pure methacrylate. This is the best known material to convey light over long distances. Combined with specific metal halide lamps, PMMA conveys the full spectrum of the lamp without visible colour drift and maintains light properties over distances of up to 30 meters. With a bending radius of 25-30 mm PMMA cables are flexible and easy to install. End-light harnesses Octopus and FOCUS harnesses In the FOCUS system,part of the optical train is integrated in the connecting end of the harness. The construction is thus different and a combination of a FOCUS harness with an Octopus generator, or the contrary round, is not allowed. Standard-duty end-light harnesses Designed for indoor use, these harnesses are made with protected fibres that comply with indoor cable regulations IEC 332-1.

Waterproof end-light harnesses Phlips offers waterproof harnesses, waterproof from end to end: IP 45 connecting end, IP 68 cables (can lay underwater at -10 m) and IP 67 cable ends. They are made of cables equipped with a connecting end protected with a flexible sleeve. Waterproof end-light harnesses connected to IP 45 generators and equipped with waterproof terminations allow for a totally waterproof fibre optic lighting installation. With such harnesses, the risk of deterioration of the optical fibres over time or water leakage into the generator is minimised. See possible end-light harnesses configurations in the table below. Custom made harnesses All harnesses are customised to answer precisely the project requirements. Whatever the quantity of cables needed, the required active diameters, the exact lengths specified, Philips manufactures the harnesses you need (within technical limitations).

Side-light harnesses

Standard duty and waterproof side-light harnesses Philips fibre optic side-light harnesses are constructed from polymethylmethacrylate PMMA, a pure methacrylate. This is the best material to convey light over long distances. Combined with a FOCUS generator it offers the most efficient side-light system, with possible cable length up to 15 metres with 1 generator, and up to 40 metres with 1 generator connected to each end. Two diameters are available for indoor as well as for outdoor use: 8 mm and 11 mm. With a bending radius less than 50 mm, side-light cables are flexible and easy to install. Octopus and FOCUS harnesses In the FOCUS system, part of the optical train is integrated in the connecting end of the harness. The construction is thus different, it is not possible to connect a Focus harness to a Octopus generator, or the contrary way.It is recommended to connect a side-light cable to a FOCUS generator. Octopus metal halide generators can also be used, but only in rather dark ambiences.

Standard-duty and waterproof The side-light cables and cable ends are waterproof by construction. According to the location of the generator,select a standard-duty or a waterproof side-light harness. The only difference is the connecting end which is IP 45 in the waterproof version. Equipped with a connecting end protected with a flexible sleeve, waterproof endlight harnesses connected to IP 45 generators allow for a totally waterproof fibre optic lighting installation. Lens assemblies for lighting adjustment The range of Philips lens assemblies allows you to replace the lens and change the beam pattern. There is a choice from very narrow beams to very wide beams, from sharp outlines to smooth, gradual fades. Each lens assembly can also be slightly adjusted itself while on the cable, creating further scope for tailoring the required lighting effect. All Philips lens assemblies can be used with an Octopus or FOCUS generator.
