The project was initiated in 2007,
in a bid to preserve and develop intan-
gible cultural assets, which are in dan-
ger of extinction because of the domi-
nance of pop culture, according to the
Europe-Korea Foundation (EKF), an
umbrella organization of the European
Union Chamber of Commerce in
Korea. Along with EKF, HSBC Korea
and Maxxium Korea are the main
