1. Make a scrap book for learning spellings. Every day, read newspaper or a story book and write down at least three new words you come across in your scrap book date wise. Refer dictionary for the meaning and learn the spelling. Also frame sentences using those words. By the end of your vacations you should have learnt spellings of at least 180 new words. Give your scrap book an attractive name like The Spell Bee/Sentence Spring/Three words a day etc. You can also decorate your scrap book. 2. With your parents help learn about blogging. Research on what blogging is and create your own account. Try and make friends with the students from different nationalities within and outside U.A.E and share your viewpoints with them on topics like a. My home country. b. My favourite hobby. c. My favourite sport. d. Benefits of learning without textbooks. e. Endangered animals. f. U.A.E Our Second Home 3. Every Sunday sit with your sibling or any friend and browse through tumble books. Choose and read any story you like and make a note of the characters you came across in the story and write one adjective which best suits the character beside the characters name. If you read one story every Sunday then by the end of the vacation you should have a list of characters from at least 8 stories you read. Compare and contrast any two characters of your choice using a Venn Diagram. Do a character sketch for any 5 characters. Also write about your favourite character, who would you like to be and why? Do this on half of A4 size paper and file it.

As part of our program S.A.V.E. ( Start a Valuable Endeavour) ask every student to reach out to 5 people anywhere in the world- preferably in different countries like UK, USA, China, New Zealand, Egypt, Lebanon, Russia, Malaysia, Australia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India etc. Students must spread awareness of the need to conserve water and electricity. They can talk about what they are doing in their homes or school to reduce water and electricity consumption. We will provide data from DEWA which could be attached to the e mails they can send their friends. In turn the friends can share what they do at their end in their own countries and help to spread the message. Conserving water and electricity: Students to get their water and electricity bills for May and June to show the reductions in electricity bills. Spread the message of need for conserving plant life and HAWKSBILL TURTLE on earth( to 5 people across the world) Send them pictures and slogans showing importance of plant life on earth.
