ISLAMIC MISSION STRATEGY FOR KOREA

Today I attended a seminar conducted by Dr. Jun, Ho-Jin, a respected missiologist in the Koshin
Presbyterian Denomination in Korea, on the subject of how to respond to the Islamic mission strategy to
convert Korea to an Islamic state by 2020. A number of experts on missions to Muslims attended the
seminar as well as theological students in Korea from countries with large Muslim populations,
including Egypt, Pakistan, Iran, Nigeria, and Tanzania.

Dr. Jun introduced the seminar by pointing out that Korea now has 15 large mosques and about 40
smaller mosques. An estimated 140,000 Muslims are in Korea, including Koreans who’ve converted to
Islam. The main reason for these conversions is the financial benefits gained from involvement in
commercial activities with Muslims in Gulf States, for example. He also mentioned that according to
the Korean CIA there are high ranking Taliban members in Korea.

Islamic influence in Korea is growing due to several factors. Among these is the Korean government’s
favoritism of Islam due to the country’s dependence on imported oil from Muslim countries. One
example of this favoritism is money that the government gives to Middle East academic associations for
their seminars, while at the same time pressuring the churches to not send missionaries to Muslim
countries. The Incheon City government gave a large piece of land to establish an Islamic center.

Korean mass media also favor Islam. For example, they frequently criticize Christian mission outreach
in Muslim countries but never expose the Islamic mission penetration into Korea. The media
misrepresented the facts concerning the kidnapping of 23 Christians in Afghanistan in July 2007 by
accusing the Christians of violating the Korean government’s prohibition against mission in Afghanistan
when in reality the Korean government had made no such prohibition.

Furthermore, some Korean professors prefer Islam as a religion, but promote it in the mass media, such
as a TV program on KBS, under the guise of encouraging “cultural understanding.” The current Korean
government favors North Korea over the United States; North Korea is friendly with many Muslim
countries and is said to be providing terrorists with weapons, such as arming Syria in order to attack
Israel.

The Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) is an Islamic version of the UN among Islamic states. It
combines militant, economic, cultural forces all together. They targeted the UK in 60s and 70s as a way
to Islamize Europe and they are succeeding since Islam is now the second largest religion in the UK
after Atheism, not Christianity! And now they have targeted Korea for the 2000s in order to Islamize
Asia. Their strategy to convert Korea to Islam involves targeting both the highest and lowest strata of
society. To convert the upper class and decision makers, Muslims have organized four academic
associations to produce research materials on the Middle East which present these countries in a
favorable light.

In the case of Korea, in 2008 Saudi Arabia is providing scholarships for 1,000 Muslim “students” to
study at Seoul National University, the premier university in Korea, for the purpose of converting
Koreans to Islam. These “students” are well trained in Islamic evangelistic tactics. At the present time,
there are some 3,000 Muslims from Arabic-speaking countries in Korea, of whom only four or five are
Christians.
Propagated by the rulers of Saudi Arabia, Wahabi Islam is a fundamentalist, aggressive variety of Islam
which created the Taliban, Osama Ben Laden, and numerous terrorist attackers, such as 11 of the 13
involved in the destruction of the Twin Towers on Sept. 11, 2001, in New York City. Saudi Arabia earns
$700,000,000 in profits from the sale of oil each day. And daily it sets aside $150,000,000 (21%) of
these profits for world evangelism. To provide aid in the aftermath of the recent Cyclone in
Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, for example, is donating $100 million dollars while the UN is giving less
than $9 million; where is the church in all of this?

I frequently encourage people to reduce their consumption of oil by reducing the use of electricity,
gasoline, etc., because much of the income generated from the sale of oil is enriching Muslim states. In
fact, the biggest transfer of wealth in human history is the current transfer of wealth from oil poor
states to oil rich states, many of which are Muslim and which use the profits gained thereby to
spread Islam. Recently I talked with a graduate of Torch Trinity Seminary from Liberia who said that
oil rich Muslim countries are providing various community development projects and self-help projects
in poor African countries, such as Ghana, with the condition that the beneficiaries convert to Islam. For
example, Muslims dig wells in arid places and tell the villagers that they can get water from them IF
they convert to Islam!

Many of the foreign workers in Korea are from Muslim countries such as Bangladesh, Pakistan,
Indonesia, and Malaysia. I have frequently met Muslims in Korea from Egypt, Iran, and other Muslim
countries. These foreign workers are forming cell groups in factories for the purpose of strengthening
their own commitment to Islam and to convert Koreans.

Another strategy used by Muslims all over the world, including Korea, is for Muslim men to marry non-
Muslims, especially Christians. A seminar participant from Pakistan said that thousands of Korean
women have married Pakistani men. Even though the wife may not convert to Islam, the children of
such unions automatically become Muslims. Any converts from Christianity to Islam are widely
publicized in the Islamic media but the testimonies of any converts from Islam to Christianity are
usually publicized anonymously due to the danger that they will be killed because this is the penalty
accorded to those who leave Islam.

Biological multiplication is another Muslim strategy. Generally Christians worldwide have small
families but Muslims can have up to four wives and usually have six or more children, so they are
growing rapidly in France and other European countries. Some 4,000 Germans convert each year to
Islam. Thus, on the basis of biological and conversion growth, it is predicted that Europe will be
Islamized in the near future.

What is the bright side of this ominous forecast? It’s estimated that some 300 Iranians are becoming
(secret) Christians each week due to the impact of Christian satellite TV. It seems that Iranians
worldwide are the most open to the gospel of any Muslim peoples. Just today I met two Iranian
Muslims who have trusted in Christ as their Savior and Lord, who are studying theology in Korea, and
who are actively evangelizing fellow Iranians with considerable success. Iranians are disillusioned,
having seen the barbarity of Islam, for example, in an eight-year war with Iraq, another Muslim country,
in which more than a million Iraqi and Iranian soldiers as well as civilians died along with many more
injured.

Another encouraging development is the way Iraqis are turning against the terrorists in Iraq and are
helping the government and coalition forces to defeat the terrorist insurgency and stop the sectarian
fighting between Shia and Sunni Muslims. Every Christian from a Muslim country whom I have asked
supports the actions of America in Afghanistan and Iraq. They believe that force is necessary to deal
with rouge states and terrorists.

Furthermore, these Christians believe that European and other Western countries, such as Australia,
Canada, and the USA should insist on the religious freedom of minorities in Muslim countries. Just as
Muslims insist on equal rights in Western countries, so Christians should be granted equal rights in
Muslim countries. A double standard should not be tolerated. For example, when a Muslim converts to
Christianity, that person should not be killed or put in prison. The West should use the gains for
democracy it has made in countries such as Afghanistan and Iraq to insure that religious freedom is
granted to minority groups. And those who become Christians should be given priority, when possible,
in terms of jobs, political power, and other benefits to help compensate for the centuries of
discrimination and oppression they have endured.

Seminar participants suggested that to respond to the Islamic mission strategy in Korea, first of all, the
leaders of Korean churches and faculties of Christian schools especially need to be educated as to what
Muslims believe and how to witness to them in culturally appropriate ways. Christians need to be made
aware of Muslim tactics, such as the claim that “we all worship the same God,” which is impossible
because Muslims reject Jesus Christ as God. An Egyptian suggested that coffee shops be made available
in places like Itaewon, Seoul, because Muslims enjoy congregating in such places and openly discuss
their ideas. Christians can dialogue with them there and also learn about their tactics to gain converts.
More Scriptures and attractive apologetic materials in the languages of Muslims in Korea need to be
produced and distributed wisely and prayerfully.

More effective methods must be employed to evangelize the Muslim foreign students and workers here,
who are like a fifth column in our midst. Rev. Barnabas Moon, pastor of Living Hope International
Church and founder of Withee Mission International, told me in July that he had attended an
international conference for foreign workers and immigrants in London, England. At the conference, a
British clergyman complained to him, saying: We have welcomed Muslims here from many countries.
We’ve provided for them in many ways--jobs, education, high positions in society, religious freedom,
etc., so why are they blowing up our subways and committing other terrorist acts?” Pastor Moon
answered, “Yes, you have done many good things for your Muslim neighbors, but you have failed to
EVANGELIZE THEM. If you want to reduce the terror, you must win them to Christ, the Prince of
peace.”

The Korean church is changing its mission strategy to Muslim countries by employing communal life in
such countries in which groups of Christians live and work. Mission to Muslims will be more low key
and subtle. A businessman I know who has traveled to Muslim countries believes that schools are more
effective than medical missions because medical care only provides brief contacts with Muslims while
schools provide a long-term impact which can more effectively Christianize the world view of the
students as they come to saving faith in Christ.

Please let me know your views on this subject. Let’s pray that the church worldwide and the next
presidents in Korea and America will recognize and deal wisely with the growing threat of Islam to our
freedoms and faith.

NB: The advance of Islam is largely due to the Christian church’s sinful neglect over the centuries to
evangelize Muslims. I remember that some 20 years ago I tried to comfort a man who had a burden to
evangelize Mormons but was unable to raise support for his mission, so he was forced to abandon that
calling. And now because of our neglect to evangelize Mormons, we are confronted with the unpleasant
prospect of having a Mormon President!
A similar situation exists in relation to Islam. The Church is not serious about reaching the Muslim
world. George Verwer, the founder of Operation Mobilisation, a mission that has focused on reaching
the least reached, says, “The problem is not in finding enough missionaries to go. The problem is
finding enough Christians and churches willing to send them.” In the past 25 years, more than 100
times as many American Christians have gone to the Middle East to serve their country in a
military capacity than have gone to the Middle East to serve the King of kings by proclaiming the
Gospel of peace!

“I have often heard many Christians complain about the high cost of sending missionaries,” observes
Rick Wood of the U.S. Center for World Mission. “But now we can all see that the cost of NOT
sending them can be ever so much higher. . . . Now it is up to Christians to tear down the strongholds of
Satan that have held the Muslim peoples in bondage for hundreds of years. It’s time for us to set these
captives free.” Will you help do it?

P.S. Moslem Group Attacks Michael Savage: The Battle Between Taquiya
(Deception) And Talk Radio

You will have to forgive me, but I have a difficult time taking the war against Moslem extremists seriously. No, I haven't become the latest in a line of
anti-American quislings who say the war is "all about oil" or that Islamism is not a threat. It's just that I have trouble mustering enthusiasm for
overseas ventures when we allow the enemy's fifth column to operate virtually unopposed on our shores.

I'm talking about the odious Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a group that could be the legal arm of al-Qaeda. Although CAIR's
machinations usually go unmentioned by the mainstream media, for quite some time now it has been training its sights on anyone who would tackle the
Islamic threat with manly strength. It has carried out campaigns against National Review magazine, radio personality Paul Harvey, the producers of the
television program 24, and many others who dare say the sultan has no clothes. And now it is targeting award-winning radio talk show host Michael
Savage.

CAIR has been pressuring Savage's advertisers to pull their spots from his show, and I'm dismayed to learn that some businesses have capitulated to
their demands. Among these cowardly companies are AutoZone, TrustedID, OfficeMax, Citrix Systems Inc., and JCPenny. I will have them know that as
long as they dance with the Devil and boycott Savage's show, I will boycott them and encourage others to follow suit. And I have a very long memory.

It's not surprising that business would kneel at the altar of political correctness, as it worships mammon. And, in truth, many people -- the good, the
bad and the ugly -- use their economic clout to try to effect social change; why, some on my side in the culture war are boycotting Ford because it
supports the homosexual lobby. But I really have to wonder if these companies know to whom they're kowtowing. Let's take a closer look at CAIR.

If you think that only those on the right take issue with CAIR, think again. In point of fact, the organization is so obviously in the pocket of terrorists
that even some of our most left-wing politicians have condemned them. Just consider the following quotations, the first three of which are by liberal
Democrats:

"[CAIR is] unusual in its extreme rhetoric and its associations with groups that are suspect." -- Senator Richard Durbin

"We know [CAIR] has ties to terrorism . . . intimate links with Hamas." -- Senator Chuck Schumer

"To praise [CAIR] because they haven't been indicted is like somebody saying, 'I'm not a crook.'" -- Senator Barbara Boxer

"Time and again [CAIR] has shown itself to be nothing more than an apologist for groups bent on the destruction of Israel and Islamic domination over
the West." -- Congressman Bill Shuster

What would inspire Boxer, Schumer and Durbin -- who many characterize as soft on Islamism themselves (some on the right call Durbin "Turban
Durbin") -- to condemn CAIR so unabashedly? Well, just read what some officers of CAIR and their associates have said.

Omar Ahmad, the co-founder of CAIR, has made no bones about his desire for Islamic hegemony. He once stated,

"Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority
in America, and Islam the only

accepted religion on Earth."

Then, Ahmad attended a secret meeting at a Philadelphia hotel where Moslem leaders allegedly plotted to disguise money given to the terrorist group
Hamas as charitable donations (these proceedings were surreptitiously recorded by the FBI as part an investigation). One of the other attendees, Shukri
Abu-Baker, who was recently tried in a federal terror-funding case, said,
"I swear by Allah that war is deception . . . . We are fighting our enemy with a kind heart . . . . Deceive, camouflage, pretend that you're leaving while
you're walking that way. Deceive your enemy."

Ahmad then chimed in, likening the ruse needed to deceive infidels to a head fake in basketball:

"He makes a player believe that he is doing this while he does something else. I agree with you. . . . Politics is a completion of war."

Moreover, reports the website Anti-CAIR,

"Omar Ahmad was captured on FBI surveillance tapes at Hamas meetings in the United States

during 1993 explaining that the IAP [Islamic Association for Palestine] could not, for political reasons, admit its support for Hamas, and then discussing
how the Hamas agenda could be cloaked and advanced."

Another CAIR official, Executive Director Nihad Awad, has been more forthcoming. He once said plainly,

"I am in support of the Hamas movement."

And the above is just a sampling of the damning truth about these jihadists who masquerade as civil rights activists.

To truly grasp the insidiousness of these closet jihadists, one must understand taquiya, a principle that gives Islamists the moral authority to deceive
infidels. Taquiya refers to dissimulation, the process of disguising one's true intentions by erecting a facade pleasing to his victims. Writing at Jihad
Watch, Gregory M. Davis explains it like this:

In times when the greater strength of dar al-harb [the House of War -- places dominated by infidels] necessitates that the jihad take an indirect
approach, the natural attitude of a Muslim to the infidel world must be one of deception and omission. Revealing frankly the ultimate goal of dar al-
Islam to conquer and plunder dar al-harb when the latter holds the military trump cards would be strategic idiocy.

Unfortunately, the ones guilty of idiocy here are Westerners, as we blithely ignore how these Islamic interlopers are using our own system to destroy us.
CAIR and its fellow travelers have been using intimidation and the courts to silence infidels, great and small, who oppose the jihad. For instance, CAIR
sued the organization I cited earlier, Anti-CAIR, for $1.35 million for "libelous defamation." This is, I suppose, what they call it when you tell the truth
about them.
