INTRODUCTION

On the job training is one method by which students is given a chance to apply the theories and methodologies that they have learned from the school. Everything is always created twice, first in the mind and then in reality. It also helps the students to acquire relevant actual wor nowledge and s ills by performing in

students to undergo such training within a specific number of hours as part of the curriculum. #or the students, an O$% or internship program provides opportunities to go through the actual methodologies of a specific job in the concept of an organi&ation. Iluminada 0. 1e !have& and her si2 -3. children on the year 4553. *y $une 4556, ,I) opened its doors to students enrolled in its five -7. pioneer programs namely *) /echanical Engineering, *) !omputer )cience, *) *usiness "dministration, *) %ourism /anagement and *achelor in Elementary and )econdary Education. 1uring the same year, ,I) also started its 8igh )chool 1epartment as well as its technical vocational programs for the youth of )outhern %agalog region. 9uided by its commitment to higher education thrusts such as -:. quality and e2cellence, -4. access and equity, -;. relevance and equity, and -<. efficiency and effectiveness, ,I) was geared towards providing international standards in education at all levels, anchored on its core values of e2cellence, leadership, service and innovation.

,ith seasoned education managers at the helm, the ne2t couple of years proved to be period of massive growth for the new college as a new programs were offered, facilities and building were erected and increased number of sta eholders started to ta e roots at ,I). *y the second year, additional programs were permitted by the !ommission on 8igher Education -!8E1..

OB7ECTI!ES %his part narrates and described an event and activities that the trainee had gone with its personal significance doing the training. %his also discusses the importance of on the job training in which students acquire relevant nowledge and s ills at wor including the observation, participation, interaction and

challenges during their training.

activities, transactions and operation of the 0*+, the management, its employees and their attitudes toward serving the public.

In&erac&ion %he most challenging part of the practicum is the day'to'day interation with clients and employees. %he trainee made use her 355 hours to e2periance and learn all thre things she needs to now in order to be efficient and effective. %his interaction rarely occurs only between three parties@ the employee'trainee interaction, the client'trainee interaction and the trainee'trainee interaction.

In 0*+ 0emery *ranch there is no designated employee to mentor and train their interns. %herefore, there is a need to initially observe and as the employee to what to do about the tas s and processes they want the trainee to do whenever they have free time. "s a beginner, the trainee have to familiari&e wor ing with people in the wor place, follow company policies and how to properly use the office tools and equipments. In addressing this problem the immediate supervisor and other employee ta e their time to personally as question about her. %hen employees usually tell story about their self e2perience. %hus, in order to surpass the life of a student'trainee, one must establish sincere professionalism as well as building personal relationship with the people in the wor place, since these relationships are the bedroc and

wea nesses for them to easily identify which area of concern is needed to be improved. In return she must be receptive to what they are saying because they may teach her more of life that only e2perienced person can give. "s the trainee was wor ing as a trainee at 0*+, he learned to become a hard'wor ing person. %ime to complete the output product is not important, but the quality. )he also learned to follow the instructions as what the superior, manager and employees said and to accept opinion that they suggested."t the school, being late is better than absent. *ut as what the trainee learned at 0*+, being absent is better than being late. *eing absent can be acause of emergency situations li e sic ness, unpredicted travels andphenomena, while, being late is a cause of misbehavior and unable to managethe time.

%he training served as the stepping stone of the trainees to the real life as a professional .
