l. I was raised in a low incorne family. My father died when I was young, leaving my mom to raise eight kids alone. I grew up on fi'ee and reduced lunches, food stamps'and other programs that made a big difference in our lives. lt's what has driven my passion for the party that fights for those programs-

publie school teacher, so you know ducation is near to my heart. Having lived in a low income household, my passion,for,raisingthe minimum wage comes from experience. In addition to these issues,l want to point out that my devotion to the environment is not just a line for my campaign; itrs sornething l have lived my whole life, We need someone passionatelyadvocating for our woods, our lakesand our planet in the legislature.

I haveservedin manyleadership rolesin the communityand in the DFLparty.Thisincludes: servingon the HighlandDistrict Counciland on the CIBcommittee. I've had many yearsof feadership positions in the DFLparty, and none of it was paid. I worked a full time job and then went out to servemy communlty.
