Circular Needle: 5.5mm [US 9] 24.
Stitch holder, yarn needle, 2 stitch markers.
GAUGE: 8 sts = 4; 14 rows = 4 in Pattern st. CHECK
YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needles to obtain the gauge.
Special Abbreviations
M1 (make one stitch) = Lift running thread before next
stitch onto left needle and knit into the back loop.
ssk (slip, slip, knit) = Slip next 2 sts knitwise, one at a
time, to right needle; insert point of left needle into the

Divide for Neck-Row 91: K39 and place on a holder, bind

Row 93: Bind off 6 sts, K 1 more st, [K2tog] 15 times, M1,
K1 33 sts.
Row 94: K1, P1, [yo, P1] 15 times, P1, K1 34 sts.

Cowl
With right side facing and circular needle, pick up and
K68 sts around neck from marker to marker. Bring edges
together and work in rounds of K2, P2 ribbing for 14. Bind
off loosely in ribbing.
