Fare Conditions and Baggage Rules for Economy Basic Plus Change Fees The "Basic Plus" ticket is changeable against a fee of maximum EUR 120, as long as the originally booked class is still available. Otherwise, the difference to the next higher available "Basic Plus" fare will be charged additionally. Changes must be made before the departure of the flight being changed. This fare is only valid if the flights are taken in the booked sequence. Otherwise the fare will be recalculated based on the actual flight routing. Cancellation Fee The ticket is refundable against a charge of EUR 120. In case of partial use, only the residual amount less the charge of EUR 120 will be refunded. On journeys, which exclusively contain Lufthansa flight numbers operated by Lufthansa, each passenger is entitled to the following free checked baggage allowance: in Economy Class 1 piece up to 23kg (50lbs) for a second piece of up to 23kg (50lbs), the following charges apply per direction (checked-in portion), depending on your country of travel commencement: EUR 75 for travel wholly within Europe EUR 75 / USD 100 for travel to/from North and Central America EUR 150 / USD 200 for all other travel in Business Class 2 pieces up to 32kg (70lbs) each in First Class 3 pieces up to 32kg (70lbs) each Irrespective of the cabin class, one piece of up to 23kg (50lbs) and one collapsible buggy can be checked free of charge for infants under the age of 2. The size of each piece of baggage is limited to 158cm (62") (width+height+depth). Extended free baggage allowances apply on Lufthansa and selected partner airlines operated flights to/from Brazil, Canada, Japan, the United States, East, West and Central Africa as well as for status customers and are granted upon validation at check-in.
