Subject: Proposal to establish Organized Farming System Development Region and Associated Processing Infrastructure
in the District of Sarguja based on the principals of co-operative inclusion and Jan Bhagidari of all beneficiaries (Unit size
approximately 5100 Acres).

Dear Sir,
It gives us great pleasure to propose this project to your esteemed self, which we believe will usher in a new era
of agricultural and farm-based activities in the state and will bring in not just national recognition, but also global
accolades.

We propose setting up of certain activities-based plan which will broadly include the following mandatory elements:
1. Deep Forest Cover based on Agro-Forestry which functions as Wind Breaks and long term flora and fauna
raising of the wild variety 1450 Acres
2. Horticulture Strip along Agroforestry Wind-Breaks - 500 Acres.
3. Food Crops and Staples 960 Acres.
4. Cash Crops 580 Acres.
5. Vegetables 540 Acres.
6. Zoo, Game Reserve, Safari and Resort Area 100 Acres.
7. Water Bodies 400 Acres.
8. Mega Food Processing Area and Logistics Hub 100 Acres.
9. Herbal Medicines and Additives Cultivation 200 Acres.
10. Dairy/Cattle, Poultry, Ostrich/Emu Raising 100 Acres.
11. Habitation and Domicile Area 100 Acres.

This comprises One Plan Unit and in turn is One Operational Unit. These Operational Units are self-sufficient and
can remain functional in isolation if required.

The rough budget estimates for the above is the following (Land assumed to be granted by the government):

1. Forestry 1450 Acres @ INR 3, 00,000/Acre = INR 43.5 Crore.
2. Horticulture 500 Acres @ INR 10, 00,000/Acre = INR 50.0 Crore.
3. Food Crops and Staples 960 Acres @ INR 2, 50,000/Acre = INR 24.0 Crore.
4. Cash Crops 580 Acres @ INR 4, 00,000/Acre = INR 23.2 Crore.
5. Vegetables 540 Acres @ INR 5, 00,000/Acre = INR 27.0 Crore.
6. Zoo, Game Reserve, Safari and Resort Area 100 Acres @ INR 80, 00,000/Acre = INR 80.0 Crore.
7. Water Bodies 400 Acres @ INR 10, 00,000/Acre = INR 40.0 Crore.
8. Mega Food Processing Area and Logistics Hub 100 Acres @ INR 5 Crore/Acre = INR 500.0 Crore.
9. Herbal Medicines and Additives Cultivation 200 Acres @ INR 10, 00,000/Acre = INR 20.0 Crore.
10. Dairy/Cattle, Poultry, Ostrich/Emu Raising 100 Acres @ INR 20, 00,000/Acre = INR 20.0 Crore.
11. Habitation and Domicile Area 100 Acres @ INR 80, 00,000/Acre = INR 80.0 Crore.

Please note that Points numbered 6, 8, 10 and 11 are lump sum figures covering every functional aspect of
factored objective. In that, they are not only based on area under cover, but also allied resources like plants
and machineries, animals, living areas, education, health and sanitation facilities, power generation and any
other resources enabling the whole project to be resource independent from the rest of the world.
