The Inside Story

Easy to use, straightforward to install and simple to maintain and service, engineers now have the ultimate tool to perform the most advanced settings, including intelligent remote camera addressability. And, with such a comprehensive package of fully accessible, password protected options available from a range of user-friendly on-screen interfaces, it has never been easier for operators and installers to set up or adjust any configuration, while having access to a wealth of diagnostic data and feedback information.

Compact & Lightweight

Cast from solid 316L stainless steel, the COEX 3000s ruggedized and robust design makes it the toughest and most versatile pan & tilt camera station in the world, while at < 25kg one of the lightest and smallest on the market. IP68 sealed for total protection against dust ingress and immersion under pressure, COEX 3000 camera stations can operate at temperatures as low as -45C or as high as +60C. COEX 3000 camera stations are twice as versatile as conventional EExd cameras, with the capability to be mounted inverted or right-side-up, eliminating any potential mounting problems. COEX 3000 camera stations can capture safety and surveillance images at any speed, providing absolute performance through hurricane conditions. A virtually indestructible worm drive also ensures smooth control at slow speeds or full zoom, while eliminating backlash. The COEX 3000s advanced mechanical design combined with a state of the art low voltage, AC stepper motor control and temperature sensor pre-heater, for extremely low temperatures ensures long lasting, advanced functionality 24/7, 365 days of the year.

COEX 3000

Exceptional Performance

Video Camera Stations

COEX 3000 camera stations are fitted with a high quality, high resolution 1/4 CCD zoom camera module with autofocus, as standard. Featuring exceptional low light and outstanding night vision performance under infrared, mechanical filters also ensure vivid daytime color, with sharp focus. CCD zoom modules deliver up to 36x optical plus 12x digital zoom on high-performance models ensuring crisp, bright detailed pictures from the most challenging environments. Almost any transmission method can be accommodated within the EExd housing allowing critical savings on supplementary EExd enclosures. All versions are capable of having an integrated H.264 video encoder to convert analog cameras to IP status, as an option. High Definition, Megapixel and fully integrated IP camera options are also available, together with 1/3 CCD cameras, for extreme low light conditions.

Thermal Camera Stations

After developing the worlds first explosion protected thermal cameras, Synectics is now delivering industry leading performance at affordable prices, with its most advanced camera stations yet. Featuring long wave, 3rd generation amorphous silicon microbolometer technology, COEX 3000 thermal camera stations can operate day or night in total darkness, through dense smoke and fog and in extreme weather conditions detecting intruders or personnel at ranges of up to 1km. COEX thermal imaging cameras produce images where conventional cameras cannot differentiating between hot and cold objects, making them ideal for monitoring tank levels, faults and oil spillages, leaks and ice detection, as well as flare monitoring and wide area surveillance. COEX 3000 thermal cameras also feature a programmable colorization capability allowing parts of the image above (or below) a preset temperature to be clearly distinguished.

Systems Integration

At the heart of every Synectics digital recording solution is our e-series of modular H.264 IP video encoders, providing a system that is totally scalable, from a few, to hundreds of cameras.

Synectics encoders connect directly, or via the network, to Synectics MDRS Primary Storage Nodes (PSNs) or network DVRs. Synectics RAID 5 and RAID 6 Network Video Servers can simultaneously record and play back dozens of digitally encoded camera streams.

SynergyXtreme, our award winning GUI video view and review software, is the driving force behind Synectics Modular Digital Encoding & Recording Systems (MDRS), providing unparalleled flexibility, security and scalability.

SynergyXtreme can also gather alarms from independent 3rd party systems such as access control, fire, perimeter, intruder and building management systems, displaying them on a single, visually intuitive review screen.

Certified Junction Boxes

COEX 3000 camera stations have no exposed cables and all electronics are contained within the pan & tilt or connector units. Low or fluctuating voltage or other user demands may, however, require external junction boxes. The EExe rated EJB range of junction boxes, with optional fiber splice tray and EEx transformer, provides a simple and cost effective solution when using mains voltage to supply the camera station.
