The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for determining production needs, managing material flows/inventory, and meeting customer service standards in the North American operations. Reporting to the Production Manager, this person will manage 6 in the group. They are responsible for scheduling and insuring materials for 35 to 40 work stations to include assembly, injection molding etc. They produce about 60k finished units per day. They want to use more of a pull system, about 200 SKU's produced regularly, Actually can produce a lot more, no computer scheduling or materials systems, they use Excel spread sheets a lot, they would like candidates who have conversion or materials systems implementation exp, they MAY go to Oracle. VMI (Vender Mgt Inventory) exp a big plus, or maybe consignment exp a plus. Their customers are GM, Chrysler, and Toyota. This job does have considerable contact with sales and with customers. Key performance metrics INVENTORY!!!, they only have 16 hour or 24 hour finished goods inventory, second metric is ON-TIME-DELIVERY, then LOSS in process (scrap). BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, technical discipline or strong technical buying experience - MBA, C.P.M., Six Sigma experience a plus but not a requirement - Experience with raw material purchasing/sourcing (commodity/specialty chemicals) - experience analyzing supply/demand/logistics issues - strong market analysis and how it affects cost structures for raw materials strong negotiation experience with understanding of market factors ; make vs. buy ; and total cost of ownership

will be responsible for $45+million in goods and services purchasing - Site Admin for P-Card; materials lead on SAP system - responsible for ensuring specifications and quality of materials - work work closely with plant personnel and outside vendors to insure supply quality, delivery, compliance etc. Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics/Business Admin. 4+ years purchasing experience supporting manufacturing (preferably consumer food/beverage or packaged goods) - will consider other industries as well - experience purchasing packaging, MRO, plant services - strong experience with SAP strongly desired - P-Card experience a plus
