Lesson 3 BECOME A LEADER AND BEGET LEADERS

I. WHAT IS GODS PROMISE?

Isaiah 60:22 the little one shall become a thousand, and the small one a
strong nation; I, Jehovah, will hasten it in its time.
Psalms 2:8 Ask of me, and I will give thee the nations for thine inheritance,
And the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

One will chase thousand and the two will chase ten thousand

EVERY CHURCH PLANTER MUST BECOME ONE THOUSAND

II. WHAT IS GODS DESIRE?

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.

1Timothy 2:4 who would have all men to be saved, and come to the
knowledge of the truth.

THE WHOLE NATION MUST BE REACHED

III. What is the heart beat of God?

2Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some count
slackness; but is longsuffering to you-ward, not wishing that any should
perish, but that all should come to repentance.

NO ONE SHOULD PERISH

IV. CAN WE DO IT ALONE?

Is it possible to reach the whole Nation only by the fulltime

workers?

Do we have the resources?

Imagine if a Church planter wins 10 people per year, how many

years will it take to reach the one thousand?

Imagine if a church planter trains a leader in a year and both

of them together trains another 2 and if that continues

1+1= 2
2+2 = 4
4+4 = 8
2+2 = 16
16 +16 = 32
32+32 = 64
64+64 = 128
128+128 = 256
256+256 = 512
512+512 = 1024

Imagine if all the members in your church does share the

gospel with there friends and neighbors, and each one
brings one in a year, what will happened?

Why elders should be appointed?

V. WHY WE MUST ENGAGE OTHERS IN MINISTRY?

1. All believers are called by God to share about him

1Peter 2:9 But ye are a elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's
own possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies of him who called you out of
darkness into his marvelous light:

2. All those who are washed by the blood are qualified to do the
ministry

Hebrews 9:14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit
offered himself without blemish unto God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to
serve the living God?

3. All the members in the body must do their part

Ephesians 4:15 but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is
the head, even Christ;

Ephesians 4:16 from whom all the body fitly framed and knit together through that which
every joint supplieth, according to the working in due measure of each several part,
maketh the increase of the body unto the building up of itself in love.

4. The early Church was growing everyday because EVERY

MEMBERS were doing ministry

Acts 2:47 praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to them
day by day those that were saved.

Acts 5:42 and every day, in the temple and at home, they ceased not to teach and to
preach Jesus as the Christ.

Acts 8:1 And Saul was consenting unto his death. And there arose on that day a great
persecution against the church, which was in Jerusalem; and they were all scattered
abroad throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.

Acts 8:4 they therefore that were scattered abroad, went about preaching the word.

5. One of the two responsibilities of the Christian worker is to equip

the saints for ministry.

Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some,
evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

Ephesians 4:12 for the perfecting of the saints, unto the work of ministering, unto the
building up of the body of Christ:

6. Because Christ has commanded us

Mathew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into
the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:

Mathew 28:20 teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo,
I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

7. Purpose of Gods word is to raise Leaders

Hebrews 5:12 For when by reason of the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need again
that some one teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the oracles of God; and
are become such as have need of milk, and not of solid food.

Hebrews 5:13 for every one that partaketh of milk are without experience of the word of
righteousness; for he is a babe.

Hebrews 5:14 But solid food is for full-grown men, even those who by reason of use have
their senses exercised to discern good and evil.

8. Jesus is our model and he has raised leaders from the beginning

Mathew 10:1 and he called unto him his twelve disciples, and gave them authority over
unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of disease and all manner of
sickness.

9. If we want to disciple the whole nation we need to raise

leadership

Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the
name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:

10. In order to carry out the good work we do we need leaders,

Success without a successor is a failure.

Judges 21:25 in those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was
right in his own eyes.

1Samuel 12:2 and now, behold, the king walketh before you; and I am old and gray headed;
and, behold, my sons are with you: and I have walked before you from my youth unto this
day.

1Samuel 12:3 Here I am: witness against me before Jehovah, and before his anointed: whose
ox have I taken? Or whose ass have I taken? Or whom have I defrauded? Whom have I
oppressed? Or of whose hand have I taken a ransom to blind mine eyes therewith? And I
will restore it you.

1Samuel 12:4 and they said, Thou hast not defrauded us, nor oppressed us, neither hast thou
taken aught of any man's hand.
If you do not grow, you cannot help others to grow

Acts 20:31 Watch, then, and remember that with many tears, day and night, I taught every
one of you for three years.

Acts 20:32 "And now I commend you to the care of God and to the message of his grace,
which is able to build you up and give you the blessings God has for all his people.
Acts 20:33 I have not wanted anyone's silver or gold or clothing.
Acts 20:34 You yourselves know that I have worked with these hands of mine to provide
everything that my companions and I have needed.
Acts 20:35 I have shown you in all things that by working hard in this way we must help the
weak, remembering the words that the Lord Jesus himself said, 'There is more happiness
in giving than in receiving.' "
Acts 20:36 When Paul finished, he knelt down with them and prayed.
Acts 20:37 They were all crying as they hugged him and kissed him good-bye.

2Co 8:21 Our purpose is to do what is right, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the
sight of others

Mathew 4:17 from that time began Jesus to preach, and to say, Repent ye; for the kingdom of
heaven is at hand.

Mathew 4:18 And walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brethren, Simon who is called
Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishers.

Mathew 4:19 and he saith unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you fishers of men.

Mathew 4:20 and they straightway left the nets, and followed him.

Mathew 4:21 And going on from thence he saw two other brethren, James the son of
Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets;
and he called them.

Mathew 4:22 and they straightway left the boat and their father, and followed him

4. Appreciate one good thing that you find in them

1Corinthians 1:4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God, which is given
you by Jesus Christ;
1Corinthians 1:5 that in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all
knowledge;
1Corinthians 1:6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:

1Samuel 22:2 People who were oppressed or in debt or dissatisfied went to him, about four
hundred men in all, and he became their leader.

2Samuel 23:8 These are the names of David's famous soldiers: the first was Josheb
Basshebeth from Tachemon, who was the leader of "The Three"; he fought with his spear
against eight hundred men and killed them all in one battle.

Mathew 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching
the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease
among the people.

Mathew 4:24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick
people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were
possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and
he healed them.

Mathew 4:25 and there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from
Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judea, and from beyond Jordan.

Mathew 9:36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them,
because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

6. Let them SEE what and how you are doing?

Mark 1:21 and they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the Sabbath day he entered
into the synagogue, and taught.
Mark 1:22 and they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had
authority, and not as the scribes.
Mark 1:23 and there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,
Mark 1:24 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art
thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.
Mark 1:25 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.

Mark 1:26 and when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came
out of him.
Mark 1:27 and they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves,
saying, what thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he
even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.
Mark 1:28 and immediately his fame spread abroad throughout all the region round about
Galilee.
Mark 1:29 and forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the
house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
Mark 1:30 But Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her.
Mark 1:31 and he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the
fever left her, and she ministered unto them.

and them that were possessed with devils.

and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.

into a solitary place, and there prayed.
Mark 1:36 And Simon and they that were with him followed after him.
Mark 1:37 and when they had found him, they said unto him, all men seek for thee.

for therefore came I forth.

7. Let them HEAR what you expect?

Mathew 10:5 these twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the
way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
Mathew 10:6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Mathew 10:7 and as ye go, preach, saying, the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Mathew 10:8 heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, and cast out devils: freely ye
have received, freely give.
Mathew 10:9 Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,
Mathew 10:10 nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for
the workman is worthy of his meat.
Mathew 10:11 And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy;
and there abide till ye go thence.
Mathew 10:12 and when ye come into an house, salute it.
Mathew 10:13 and if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not
worthy, let your peace return to you.
Mathew 10:14 and whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out
of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
Mathew 10:15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and
Gomorrha in the Day of Judgment, than for that city.
Mathew 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise
as serpents, and harmless as doves.
Mathew 10:17 but beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will
scourge you in their synagogues;
Mathew 10:18 and ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a
testimony against them and the Gentiles.
Mathew 10:19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for
it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.
Mathew 10:20 for it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father, which speaketh in
you.

the end shall be saved.
Mathew 10:23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say
unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.
Mathew 10:24 The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.
Mathew 10:25 It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his
lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they
call them of his household?
Mathew 10:26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be
revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.
Mathew 10:27 What I tell you in darkness that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear,
that preach ye upon the housetops.
Mathew 10:28 And fear not them, which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but
rather fear him, which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Mathew 10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the
ground without your Father.
Mathew 10:30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Mathew 10:31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.
Mathew 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also
before my Father which is in heaven.
Mathew 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my
Father which is in heaven.
Mathew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace,
but a sword.

against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Mathew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
Mathew 10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he
that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

Mathew 10:39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake
shall find it.
Mathew 10:40 He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him
that sent me.
Mathew 10:41 He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's
reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall
receive a righteous man's reward.
Mathew 10:42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold
water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his
reward.
