Alcatel-Lucent 1521 FLIP

FIBER LINE IP SYSTEM 4 X E1 AND 100 MB/S ETHERNET | RELEASE 4.0

The Alcatel-Lucent 1521 FLIP optical line system is a powerful optical access system that supports classical E1 and Ethernet connections.

The Alcatel-Lucent 1521 FLIP supports the migration from a circuit-switched to a converged packet-switched access network, offering both E1 and Ethernet. It also enables carriers to increase revenue by introducing new Ethernetbased services in parallel with their traditional E1 services. The Alcatel-Lucent 1521 FLIP S9 version has full management support from the Alcatel-Lucent 1353 LineView, which is a user-friendly, IP/SNMP-based Element Management System (EMS)*.

B E N E F I T S
Combines Ethernet and E1 on the same access ber link by encapsulating E1 data into Fast Ethernet frames with the E1 frames being given highest priority Physical level of security and separation between the Ethernet ports, allowing only the trafc between the Ethernet ports and the F/O link Powerful diagnostic tools provided by FEF (Far End Fault) signaling, SLE (Subscriber Link Emulation), Loop-Back and Last Gasp Variety of single mode ber interfaces with distances ranging up to 100 km For easy and economical installation, the CPE is half-rack size for installation in rack-mount or desktop mode Easily manageable either by the Alcatel-Lucent 1353 LineView for S9 versions or by using dipswitches for conguring desktop-to-desktop links

F E A T U R E S
4 x E1 and 4x Ethernet Distances between 2 and 100 km Fiber link capacity 100 Mb/s Extensive remote monitoring and control Rate limiting for comprehensive SLA implementation VLANs (per port and tagging) for user separation Easy to deploy and manage

* For more information, please refer to the Alcatel-Lucent 1353 LineView EMS data sheet.
