115th Annual Juried Exhibition

Woman’s Art Club of Cincinnati

This exhibition is a regional show designed to showcase fine art created by
women 18 years and older. The exhibit is selected from submitted art works,
NOT SLIDES OR CD's.
The Jurors will select the show, and award over $5,000 in prize money and
merchandise. Artists will be notified if their work is accepted or declined by E-
MAIL OR PHONE.
THE JURORS
COLE CAROTHERS received his MFA in 1978, and has since taught Art, Art
History and Theater Design at St. Andrew's School, DE, taught painting at UC,
and for 6 years was program director at Baker Hunt. His work is exhibited
nationally, and is included in permanent col-lections of several art museums,
including Cincinnati's.
ARNELLE DOW received her MFA in ceramics in Guanajuato, Mexico, where
she discovered batik, and 'never looked back'. Her work has been nationally
sold, and was globally recognized at the Inter-national Batik Conference in
2004. Her contribution to the field was recognized in “The 100 year History of
Batik in the USA”, 2007. She is the director of the Clifton Rec Center, and
founder of “Art for Artists: a co-op workshop series.”

May 4, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. AWARDS RECEPTION at WAC Cultural Center,
Mariemont
Parking Shuttle available from Mariemont Elementary
May 8-11 and May 15-18 1:00 to 4:00 pm. exhibit on public display
(Thursdays-Sundays)
May 24, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., pick up unsold works at WAC Cultural
Center

ENTRY INSTRUCTIONS
• You may submit up to 2 works.
! Two works possibly accepted for exhibition
! Art must be for sale: no “NFS”
! 20% commission to Woman's Art Club of Cincinnati on all sales
! Paintings based on photos must be from artist's original photo
! Work created under supervision of an instructor, copies of works, or copies
of published photos will be returned as ineligible.
! Size restricted to 52” width
! No computer-generated art
! Art work must be RECENT work, NOT previously juried, completely original,
and the work of the entering artist.

FEES
Members of WACC: $25 for 1st entry, $10 for second entry.
Non-Members: $30 for 1st entry, $15 for 2nd entry.

DIRECTIONS TO WOMAN’S ART CLUB CULTURAL CENTER

FROM NORTH/WEST: I 71 South to Redbank Rd exit (south). Turn left on
Madison Road, and go through “downtown” Madisonville. Go right onto
Plainville Road, and 12 blocks down, turn left onto Cambridge. WACC Center
is 2 1/2 blocks down.
OR: Take Montgomery Rd to Miami (Kenwood), and drive through Madeira,
down the hill into Mariemont. Turn right just after Mercy Hospital onto Rowan
Hill Dr. It curves left. Turn right onto Cambridge.
FROM SOUTH/DOWNTOWN: Go East on Columbia Pkwy. It becomes Wooster
Pike. Turn left onto Plainville. Go 2 blocks. Right onto Cambridge, 2 1/2
blocks.
