Clear up any discontinuities. 2. Verify mileage and magnetic course between waypoints.

NORTH / SOUTH CHECK Choose an Off Course VOR along your route of flight. Record VOR Nav Data on CFP: a. Stn IDENT b. Stn Latitude / Longitude c. Stn Magnetic Variation E/W (i.e. 6*E) Determine whether you will pass N or S of the VOR. Determine the Magnetic Radial which indicates True (N) or True (S) as appropriate: example; 360T + 8*(W)= 008*M example; 180T 6*(E) = 174*M Line Select GPS/INS Position to SP when HSI/RMI indicate the Magnetic Radial determined in step 4 above. Record DME and Magnetic Radial on CFP Record GPS/INS Lat/Lon on CFP Determine the difference between STN Latitude and GPS/INS Latitude in Degrees/Minutes/Seconds and convert to NMs (i.e. 136.6min = 96.6NM) Compare NM determined in step 8 above to DME recorded in step 6 (dist from the VOR) and record the difference on the CFP in the Error column.
