Main skill: Reading Integrated skills: Listening and speaking, writing Summary: For set induction, teacher introduces the rules in the classroom and asks pupils to write their name and ambition on a piece of paper. In Pre-Reading, pupils are given a calendar in groups and they have to circle their birthdays. After that, pupils read the text on the text book. Pupils continue reading in groups and individuals. In Post-Reading, pupils answer simple WH-questions. Teacher draw a mind-map based on the pupils answers. Pupils then have to copy the mind-map on their exercise book. In Closure, teacher summarizes the lesson and emphasis on using the time wisely. Content standard 1.1 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to pronounce words and speak confidently with the correct stress, rhythm and intonation.
