October 26, 2008 | TNN MUMBAI: Thanks to efforts made by the Centre, the beleaguered Dabhol power plant will get firm gas supply from the Krishna-Godavari basin from January 1, 2009, taking generation to 1,900 MW. The plant currently generates only 1,200 MW due to shortage of gas.
