What you will need:

RED HEART Soft: 4 balls 4601 Off White A, 2 balls 9520 Seafoam B and 1 ball each of 9870 Deep Sea C, 2515 Turquoise D and 9518 Teal E. Susan Bates Crochet Hook: 6.5 mm [US K-10] Yarn needle GAUGE: Square motif = 2 (6.5 cm) across. Octagon motif = 6 (15 cm) across. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needle to obtain the gauge given.

Square Motif (make 38) With A, ch 4, join with a slip st to form a ring. Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc here and throughout), 11 dc in ring; join with slip st in top of beg ch-3 12 dc. Round 2: Ch 3, dc in first st, 2 dc in each dc around; join with slip st in top of beg ch-3 24 dc. Round 3: Ch 1, sc in first st, sc in next st, hdc in next st, *3 dc in next st, hdc in next st**, sc in next 3 sts, hdc in next st; repeat from * around, ending last repeat at **, sc in next st; join with slip st in first sc. Fasten off. Octagon Motif (Make 39: working 24 with A for 2nd color, 5 each with C, D, and E for 2nd color)
With B, ch 4, join with a slip st to form a ring. Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc here and throughout), 15 dc in ring; join with slip st in top of beg ch-3 16 dc. Round 2: Ch 3, 2 dc in first st, dc in next dc, *3 dc in next dc, dc in next dc; repeat from * around; join with slip st in top of beg ch-3 32 dc. FINISHING

Border With right side facing, join A with a slip st along any st on outside edge, ch 3, dc in each dc around, working 3 dc in each outside corner; join with a slip st in beginning ch-3. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
