The Transformer Principle

Iron Losses in a Transformer

Copper Losses in a Transformer


Copper losses are d"e to( 0%&&/'$ +lowing thro"gh the &/(*($)'0/ o+ the windings( and are o+ten re+erred to as the 52R losses 8 = < 5 2 1 R 9 The greater the ,"rrent +low thro"gh the windings( the greater the ,opper losses

Transformer Efficienc$
