Typology Task

Collecting things with photography.

Look around and collect at least 6 images that create a typology.

Look for details and objects that there are likely to be multiples of around your location. Signs, switches, handles etc are often good places to start.

Use the same composition for each shot. Photograph your subject from the same distance so that scale stays the same.

Remember to think about and use compositional rules. Get in close so it is clear that your object is, indeed, the subject of the shot.

You should have a minimum of 6 images for this project. You can present them as individual images printed up to A4 size. You should also print a final contact print of the images on one page as A3 size for handing in. You also need to do a 500 word artist statement about your final works. Studio Art: Photography Unit 1
