Specification of /rigin 0arameter Amendment F The /rigin parameter can no$ ta7e either - or 3 values rather than 3. /riginall* it re2uired an GH I and J valueH it is no$ onl* necessar* to specif* the G and I values. Scope of 8ehicle !irection 0arameter Amendment F The 8ehicle direction parameter 'E8=A!.?E or E8=A. L=B!.?E) is no$ also associated $ith Additional and Alternative vehicles.

En!ance0ent - +e!icle File .ara0eters and 0et!ods A ne$ parameter ESI++=T?. ALE has been added to allo$ for vehicles having the same effect $hether run bac7$ards or for$ards. This parameter suppresses the second run $hich reduces the run time for s*mmetrical vehicles $hen the E%othE directions option is selected. A ne$ parameter EUN.TSB.N0UTE has been added for vehicles that don@t have S. native unitsH the* ma* no$ be specified $ith their native units. A limited number of mathematical operators are available for use in the 8ehicle files e.g. add 'K)H subtract 'F)H division ';) and multiplication '(). The method of reading in and processing vehicles has been improved. =ach vehicle is read in onl* once for each anal*sisH this $ill reduce "ile .nput ; /utput and improve run times to offset against the increased run times produced b* other ne$ features. En!ance0ent - A#toloader Load Anal$sis .nfluence Line Smoothing F +ethods have been developed to provide smoothing for .nfluence lines that are not on or closel* ad>acent to grid lines. &ith The original methods it $as possible for loadable areas to be fragmented. This has been overcome b* the smoothing at lo$ levels of influenceH ho$ever the smoothing is progressivel* lo$er at high levels of influence so that the ma#imum height of the pea7 is retained. The results should be less fragmented due to the reduced number of loadings outputH and also more accurate. Small enhancements have been made to onsole outputH and more significantl*H the level of detail has been increased in the summar* file output. =rrors are no$ also reported to the Summar* file as $ell as the onsole. .f the /utput units are other than the default S. unitsH then this is reported. Lane T*pes are sho$n on the Lane summar* table. 8ariable Space or 8ariable Step 8ehicles have no$ their state number output as $ell as the 8ehicle name Amendments have been made to stop small superfluous loadable areas being generated at the end of the dec7. Amendments have been made to reduce the incidence of single U!L patches being split into a number of contiguous smaller patches. The Tolerance level has been reduced to provide more precision at lo$ levels of .nfluence. "or AASAT/H Autoloader no$ places a single lane if the carriage$a* $idth is less than -9 ft but not less than 1- feet. "or AASAT/H The number of lanes loaded does not have to be the ma#imum possible as dictated b* the $idth of the carriage$a*. 0reviousl* load combinations $ere generated b* adding the loads in order of load intensit*.
