SENSEX The Barometer of Indian Capital Markets: Market


SENSEX, India's s first and most popular stock market m index, closed at 17193.55 points on 31ST January, 2012. This represents an increase in 11.25% in the index in position over the month of January. The SENSEX hit a high of 17258.97 on 27th January 2012 and a low of 15534.67 on 02nd Jan 2012 and an average intra-day day volatility of 1.85% during the month.
