MECHANICS

1. Each Debating Team should be composed of exactly three members. 2. A Prime Minister, who shall serve as the Team Leader, should be assigned by the members. 3. Speaker 1 for the Pro will deliver a three minute introductory speech. 4. Speaker 1 for the Con will deliver a three - minute rebuttal speech. 5. After the rebuttal speech, one minute break shall be given to give time for the teams to prepare for the cross examination. 6. After the break, Speaker 2 for the Pro will conduct a cross examination which will be answered by the Prime Minister for the Con. The cross examination should be limited to 10 questions answerable by yes or no, or any short response answers. 7. Speaker 2 for the Con will conduct a cross examination which will be answered by the Prime Minister for the Pro. The cross examination should also be limited to 10 questions answerable by yes or no, or any short response answers. 8. One minute break should be given for the consolidation. 9. After the break, the Prime Minister for the Pro will deliver a five minute memorandum speech to summarize, and highlight their points. 10.
