ARTICULATION AGREEMENT INTRODUCTION

This Articulation Agreement has been developed by Mount St. Mary's College and Los Angeles City College. Its purpose is to help the prospective Mount St. Mary's student plan a course of study that will facilitate a more effective transfer into Mount St. Mary's College. Mount St. Marys College accepts a maximum of 70 transferable community college units that may be applied toward the units required for a baccalaureate degree. The Articulation Agreement contains relevant information about MSMC General Studies Requirements, which includes five areas: Communication Skills; Critical Thinking; Arts & Sciences; Modern Language, Religious Studies and Philosophy. Listed under each area are equivalent courses offered at Los Angeles City College Please refer to the MSMC Catalog or contact a Transfer Counselor in The Office of Admission at MSMC for a complete list of required lower division courses for majors not listed in this Agreement. This Agreement is based upon Mount St. Mary's College Catalog and Los Angeles City College catalog and is subject to review/revision at the discretion of the Advisement/Registrar Offices.

Modern Language A. A student who begins a language must complete course 1 and 2 of the same language B. Students whose native language is not English may demonstrate academic proficiency in English as a second language by passing the TOEFL examination with scores above 550. C. To meet the requirement students must demonstrate proficiency at the second semester level. If they have knowledge, and test into the second semester of the language, they need only take the second semester course, i.e., Span 2. E. Mathematics
