USING A HYPERFOCAL DISTANCE CHART Find the lens focal length on the horizontal axis. Read up to the f-number to find the hyperfocal distance at that f-number. For example, the arrows on the chart below illustrate how to read the hyperfocal distance for a 50mm lens set to f/16.

CHART PRINTING INSTRUCTIONS 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Select File, Print on the Adobe Acrobat Reader menu. Select the page to print, using either the Current page selection or the Pages from selection. Select Shrink oversize pages to paper size and Expand small pages to paper size. Select the paper size. With the selections described in item 3, the charts will expand or shrink to fill the selected paper size. Click Print.
