Course Description The course provides comprehensive understanding of the organizations business processes that spans across organizational boundaries and their integration through Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. The students will also be trained to use the SAP ERP software (ECC 6.0). They will be given hands on exercises on modules such as sales & distribution (SD), materials management (MM), production planning (PP), financial accounting (FI) and managerial accounting (CO) to understand the integration of various business processes and to generate different reports such as sales orders, purchase orders. Course Objectives (i) (ii) To understand the business processes and their integration in an enterprise. To enable the student to use the SAP ERP software and work on associated modules to provide an overall understanding of business process management in a networked organization.

SLIT 502 - BUSINESS PROCESS INTEGRATION (BPI) EVALUATION SCHEMA The students will be graded on the basis of 100% internal evaluation schema consisting of the following components: 1) Class/Lab Participation 2) Mid-Term Test 3) End-Term (Final) Exam Detailed Description: Class/Lab Participation (CP) is spread across three phases. In the First phase, class participation will be evaluated based on students active involvement in case discussions as well as lab participation. (End of 10th Session) In the second and third phase, class participation will be evaluated solely on students lab participation etc.. Lab participation involves: Completion of given (Individual & Team) assignments on time, Performance in the VIVA & Quiz Coming to the class fully prepared with the relevant reading and associated exercises for the respective sessions, Active involvement during hands on sessions & maintenance of the exercise book, Attendance Record and Maintaining decorum while the session is in progress. Mid-Term Test (20%) is intended to test the students knowledge about both theoretical and practical concepts of enterprise business process integration and management. Usually it will be conducted on 18th session. If there is any change in scheduled, it will be updated then and there in advance. End-Term (Final) examination (40%) will be conducted to evaluate the students knowledge about the application of the concepts taught in real world business scenario. End-Semester examination will be conducted after completion of 33 sessions.

Attendance Policy: The students should have minimum of 60% attendance for Internal Evaluation at the time of component evaluation. Students coming after 5 mints late will be given as absent. Expectation from Students: o It is expected that students should have basic knowledge of computer, business processes and its usability in terms of documentation, data entry etc. o It is expected students should devote his time for Lab practices. o It is expected students should make discipline in the class and not talking to each other and disturbing the class. o Argue, over smart or any kind of violation like coming in the middle of class, going out in the middle of class, bad manner and bad behavior with faculty will immediately report to Academic office for further action and student can not appear in the internal evaluation. o Students should switched off their mobile phones or make it in silent mode. o In case discussion students are instructed listen to their friends and do not interfere in the middle. o Students are expected to give value added points in discussion which will be taken for evaluating the case. o Students should practice and read any assignment given to them before coming to class. SLIT 502 - BUSINESS PROCESS INTEGRATION (BPI) Course Management: (i) (ii) (iii) (iv) (v) (vi) The student will be evaluated continuously by different components of evaluation from time to time during the course. Wherever group activities are there, the individual performance of the student will be assessed following various educational techniques like his contributions, question answers, viva etc. The student are responsible for keeping track of course events, general reading assignments, specific dates for written exam and presentations . Students should submit the projects/cases/tests/assignment in time scheduled by the faculty; otherwise 3% of assigned marks of that evaluation component will be deducted. Some guest lecturer can be done by inviting industry experts by students, faculty and IT Club. Because of Holidays, some classes will be arranged in Saturdays and Sundays even or required; students are instructed to come in these days if required.

About The Faculty: Dr.Manas Ranjan Pradhan is currently working as Assistant Professor in IBS, Hyderabad-under IFHE-Deemed University (ICFAI Foundation of Higher Education), Hyderabad. He has done his MSc (Physics) from NIT, Rourkela, MTech (Computer Science)-Utkal University and PhD (Computer Science)-University of Mysore. He has worked in software companies like Globarena, Teqnium, DSR Solutions etc.He has executed and delivered many projects as free-lancer to various clients in India and abroad. He is a certified Instructional Associate in elearning process from National Technological University; USA.He has mentored so many projects and got mentor award in i-Talent contest from Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for his project Pathosoft-A pathologist Solutions. His consulting and proficiency areas are Business Analysis, Software Project Management & Development, Business Process Management (BPM), Healthcare Domain and Enterprise application. He has been written and presented many research papers in various international Information Technology journals and conferences. He last worked as Process Analyst in DSR Solutions Ltd, Hyderabad in Enterprise Product Development (Enterprise Optimus). His research areas are Enterprise Computing, Software Product Development, e-learning, Bioinformatics and Molecular Electronics.
