In 2012 Steel Parts in Tipton Indiana became a sister Company to Raybestos Powertrain. These companies collectively employ 550+ employees with annualized sales of $160M USD. The business maintained its focus on manufacturing wet friction products (Tribology) for torque transfer/energy absorption applications such as wet wheel brakes, transmissions, power take off units and torque converters. This includes stamping for various automotive components. Markets served include automotive OEMs and Tier Ones, heavy duty on highway, automotive aftermarket, and heavy duty off highway customers. One of three primary individuals responsible for P&L improvements (CEO / President / EVP) Responsible for OEM global sales and engineering for automotive and heavy duty vehicle markets identifying $230M in potential sales and securing $40M in future business. Restructured in 2009, RPT secured new business through building relationships, technology and customer focused strategies. Responsible for Aftermarket sales in domestic and international markets.
