How much: 108 g, ca. 370m, a bit more than 2 balls
Needles: US 6 / 4 mm circular needles, or whatever size,
gives the correct gauge.
Gauge: 21 stiches x 36 rows = 4 inches / 10 x 10 cm after
blocking in BUTTERFLIES pattern, but not critical for this
project.
Size: ca. 130 cm x 50 cm (ca. 51 x 19,5)

Other notions: 4 stitch markers, tapestry needle, pins for blocking.

Triangular shape shawl knitted top down. The size can vary by knitting more or fewer

Work from here using the chart/written instructions. The BUTTERFLIES IS REPEATED 8 times
(or as many times as you want). Other parts have to be knitted once. Only the odd
numbered rows are charted / written. Even numbered rows have to be knitted as follows:

The parts of charts with colorful border have to be repeated. Part TULIPS WITH LEAVES and

EDGING
The black stitches / stitches in brackets are not needed for narrower border.
In every case knit row 1, then knit row 3 at least three times (do not repeat row 1).
Once you have completed the last row on RS, bind-off loosely on WS (you may wish to switch to needles one or two sizes larger) with a
stretchy lace bind-off as follows: k1, *k1, insert left needle into the front of the two stitches on the right hand needle and knit them
together like an ssk*, repeat between *s until all stitches are bound off.

Soak shawl in lukewarm water until thoroughly wet. Remove shawl from water and gently squeeze, place shawl between towels and press
out any excess water. Move shawl to a dry flat surface, pin it in a triangular shape. Unpin only when completely dry, weave in yarn ends
