1.1 Significant Figure


Significant figures are the relevant digits in
an integer or a decimal number which has
been rounded off to a certain degree of
accuracy, e.g.
787 = 790 (2 significant figures).
Notes:In rounding off positive numbers to a given
number of significant figures, the significance
of zero is as shown below.
(a) All non-zero digits are significant.
Example
