FRESH WATER OR SALT WATER?
Actually, I would say I prefer, vinyl or cement - I hesitate at the edge of water. It may be too cold...it may be too murky...it may be lled with all kinds of things I dont want to get anywhere near....
Now, Im not unjustied in all of my hangups about water. I do know how to swim, not well, but I can tread for a little while. I have had some harrowing experiences in water all up and down the eastern seaboard, from Maine to Louisiana. I have been warned by my uncle EP, not too get too close to the Bayou cause, we got some nasty critters in thar. and all you saw were to bulging eyes peeking up through the duck weed, and they were attached to a 14 food long alligator just waiting to taste some yankee food. Ive been wading in the mucky shallows having come out with leaches on my legs. Ive been in the middle of a river swimming and yelled at, DONT MOVE as a water moccasin swam by me. Ive had lampreys jump at my canoe, Ive seen sharks, been pinched & pricked by crabs, covered in pieces of dead jellysh, seaweed wrapped around me, bit by water eas, pummeled by roaring waves, cut my feet on coral, even been seasick from just being in it too long. So Im not a fan of natural bodies of water. Ive just had too many weird experiences in them. I do go in rivers, lakes and ocean, but not all that often, BUT give me a pool...ahhhhh...nice!

WATER IS PURIFYING, CLEANSING, RENEWING

Jeremiah 31:9 !"..they shall come with weeping and supplication..I will lead them by the rivers of waters..thy soul shall be like a watered garden" Zech. 13:1 ! "in that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David..for sin and uncleanness.." Rev. 7:16, 17 ! "they shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more..the Lamb..shall.. lead them to living fountains of waters and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes" Isaiah 49:10 ! "they shall not hunger nor thirst..by the springs of water shall he guide them" Ps. 36:8,9 ! "..thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures for with thee is the fountain of life.." Isaiah 44:3, 4 ! ".I will pour water on him that is thirsty..they shall spring up..like willows by the water courses.." Jesus IS the LIVING WATER - from HIM ALL LIFE FLOWS! He was baptized by John at the Jordon to full all obedience and in accordance with the Law.

Pool of Siloam - John 5

Imagine having waited decades beside a pool of water for healing, day in and day out only to have your efforts thwarted by everyone 13,000 times 38 years. Then in all your frustration a man dares to ask you if you really want to be healed. Jesus just showed up on the scene, and he changes the landscape for this man. COMPLETELY INTERVENES and stops the endless repetitive actions of this mans life course and CHANGES EVERYTHING GODs PRESENCE WAS THERE. Arise, and walk. God's command, Turn and live; Make ye a new heart; no more supposes power in us without the grace of God, his distinguishing grace, than this command supposed such power in the impotent man: it was by the power of Christ, and he must have all the glory. What a joyful surprise to the poor cripple, to find himself of a sudden so easy, so strong, so able to help himself! The proof of spiritual cure, is our rising and walking. Has Christ healed our spiritual diseases, let us go!

RIVERS Of LIVING WATER FLOW from US!!!
World, the salt of the earth, we are also going to have Living waters flow out of John 7: 37 gives the story US! So their impact and of Jesus on the Last day of the feast of Tabernacles. In affect can be the same
regular practice the priests would go to the pool of Siloam each of the 7 days, they would draw up some of the Living water into a Temple sanctified gold vessel, carry it back with a processional to the Altar at the Temple grounds and pour it out. It was at this moment that Jesus probably stood up, On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. 38Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them. 39By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. 40On hearing his words, some of the people said, Surely this man is the Prophet. 41Others said, He is the Messiah.

Vessels of Honor- Its an HONOR to be HIS Vessel!

We are called to be vessels of Honor, though we are made of clay, fragile, temporary, we are still called to be vessels which can contain valuables, or in this case water that can be carried, and brought to some of the most destitute, thirsty and dr y lives, offering LIFE! When we speak, when we act, in word or in deed, do we offer life?
Interesting that when Jesus ----------> PROCLAIMS He is living water, in this situation and the woman at the well in Samaria, the rst response was that He must be a prophet, and then it was realized he was the Messiah!

It was an amazing Proclamation to Declare that HE WAS the LIVING WATER, a sacrifice poured out for others that they might have LIFE ABUNDANT in Him! That is what the Libation offering of the water and Wine was all about, remembering the goodness of God, for Life that they might have a harvest of plenty. And that Sacrifice was required for it to be possible.

GOD changes the LANDSCAPE
Josuha 3:1
Early in the morning Joshua and all the Israelites set out from Shittim and went to the Jordan, where they camped before crossing over. 2 After three days the officers went throughout the camp, 3 giving orders to the people: When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the Levitical priests carrying it, you are to move out from your positions and follow it. 4 Then you will know which way to go, since you have never been this way before. But keep a distance of about two thousand cubits between you and the ark; do not go near it. 5 Joshua told the people, Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.6 Joshua said to the priests, Take up the ark of the covenant and pass on ahead of the people. So they took it up and went ahead of them.7 And the Lord said to Joshua, Today I will begin to exalt you in the eyes of all Israel, so they may know that I am with you as I was with Moses. 8 Tell the priests who carry the ark of the covenant: When you reach the edge of the Jordans waters, go and stand in the river. 9 Joshua said to the Israelites, Come here and listen to the words of the Lord your God. 10 This is how you will know that the living God is among you and that he will certainly drive out before you the Canaanites, Hittites, Hivites, Perizzites,Girgashites, Amorites and Jebusites. 11 See, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth will go into the Jordan ahead of you. 12 Now then, choose twelve men from the tribes of Israel, one from each tribe. 13 And as soon as the priests who carry the ark of the Lordthe Lord of all the earthset foot in the Jordan, its waters flowing downstream will be cut off and stand up in a heap.14 So when the people broke camp to cross the Jordan, the priests carrying the ark of the covenant went ahead of them. 15 Now the Jordan is at flood stage all during harvest. Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the waters edge, 16 the water from upstream stopped flowing. It piled up in a heap a great distance away, at a town called Adam in the vicinity of Zarethan, while the water flowing down to the Sea of the Arabah (that is, the Dead Sea) was completely cut off. So the people crossed over opposite Jericho.

As Joshua was leading the Children of Israel to Je r i c h o, t h e R I V E R STOPPED as far back as ADAM. AS the ARK, the PRESENCE OF GOD was present, the WATERS that FLOWED FROM ADAM WERE STOPPED! God Inter venes if we live according to HIS WAYS and reverence and obey Him!

ONE DAY the DEAD SEA will be TEAMING with LIFE THATs HOW TRANSITIONAL LIVING WATER IS!

We need our Spiritual DNA radically altered, which happens at the ALTAR! A surrender to the will and ways of God, a death of ourselves. Without it there is NO resurrection power, no transformation!

All through out the scriptures God used women to show His power of Redening Wonder. ie., Sarah a barren woman - Gave birth to the nation of God. I want to look a 4 women in old testament - who you may or may not be familiar with. ! TAMAR - a woman whose husband died, and was essentially cast aside, neglected, and avoided by her father in law who was by law then to be responsible for her care. ! RAHAB - a prostitute, well known, perhaps a madam known by the upper echelons of the military, governmental ofcials. Pagan ! RUTH - a moabite, widow, with no one to care for her. A woman who was considered a deled woman because of her historical ancestry of the nations birth out of incest. living in foreign lands in obscurity - Pagan ! BATHSHEBA - a woman raped by the King/coverup by authorities, whose husband was killed. ! AND YET BECAUSE ALL THESE WOMEN put their HOPE in GOD - HE CHANGED Radically their circumstances - and they were all mentioned in the Lineage of Jesus Christ of Matthew chapter One - In fact, they are the only wives in the blood line passage of scripture mentioned. Think of the Incredible amount of pain, suffering, distress, humiliation, and loss these women suffered.

John 4:4

Now [Jesus] had to go through Samaria. 5 So he came to a town in Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph.6 Jacobs well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon. 7 When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, Will you give me a drink? 8 (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.)

9 The Samaritan woman said to him, You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink? (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.) 10 Jesus answered her, If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water. 11 Sir, the woman said, you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock? 13 Jesus answered, Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life. 15 The woman said to him, Sir, give me this water so that I wont get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water. 16 He told her, Go, call your husband and come back. 17 I have no husband, she replied.

Jesus said to her, You are right when you say you have no husband. 18 The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true. 19 Sir, the woman said, I can see that you are a prophet. 20 Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem. 21 Woman, Jesus replied, believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the

27 Just then his disciples returned and were surprised to find him talking with a woman. But no one asked, What do you want? or Why are you talking with her? 28 Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, 29 Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Many Samaritans Believe 39 Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the womans testimony, He told me everything I ever did. 40 So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days. 41 And because of his words many more became believers. 42 They said to the woman, We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.

Consider the Woman at the Well in John 4

Here is a a woman that is going to draw water at the well in the HEAT of the day. WHY? Because she is ashamed of her lifestyle, her choices, her baggage, her activities, her sin! She has no doubt been the brunt of jokes and sneers. The source of Gossip. BUT NOW, What a tremendous Exchange - Literally, not just in conversation, but actual exchange - HER LIFE for HIS!!! - THERE IS NO GREATER EXCHANGE POLICY in the universe!!!! She made out well...here is a woman that was ostracized, snickered at, gossiped about, shunned and scolded. Here is a woman that hid away, avoided contact with these other women, had no support system and probably the lowest self esteem possible. She had some understanding of the God of Israel, she had some understanding that she was in sin, but had no power to change where she !adica" was at. SHE WAS NOT OFFENDED by the fact that Jesus KNEW EVERYTHING she ever did..She was not offended that Jesus agreed with that she wasnt in the best of situations, .in fact it was a comfort to her. SHE WAS DESPERATE for a change! SHE DIDNT have to live that way anymore, she didnt have to hide. She could be set free from the PRISON she lived within. a Prison she placed her self in, no one elses fault, no one else had the power to release her.

PRIOR to her encounter - AFTER her encounter, she was CHANGED - to the point where this woman who choose to avoid everyone in town, headed right into the crowd to boldly proclaim who she encountered. No SHAME, No Regrets, No hinderance - She was ying, she had been washed clean, she was wearing new garments, she was drinking of the sweet honey from the Rose of Sharon, She was refreshed by the LIVING WATER, the Source of NEW TRANSFORMATIONAL LIFE! This woman used to run from the taunts, now she ran head rst/strong into the very crowd that in times past ridiculed her. THATs a Powerful life. Thats an effective Life, Thats an Abundant Life The wonder of His LOVE, the Power of His Washing, the beauty of HIS Transformation! Its RADICAL - Its IMPACTING - and there is always a residual impact zone, where the splash back of the displaced earth leaves an indelible, impression on the face of the one impacted, like a meteorite that impacts the surface of the earth or moon. That Splash zone is broad because much is displaced with just a little piece from the heavens Where are you at? Are you feeling ridiculed, ostracized, shameful, neglected, cast aside, hurt and beaten, robbed from or powerless?
