Description:
Intended to enhance the existing models both aesthetically & ergonomically, it is also aimed process
refinement coupled with material optimization, weight reduction & hence the cost. The current models
are produced with an already aged front facia & a massive chassis & body, imparting a monstrous
appearance along with increased fuel consumption. With a thorough market survey results, the project
was started to target all the above said by design & process refinement respectively.
1. Chassis:
Passenger & Pick-up vehicle chassis were weighing 102 kgs & 107 kgs. Respectively before the

optimization program, imparting a huge share of weight to the vehicle. This was due to excessive
material utilization, which was solved by simplification of the design, through elimination &
commonization of two of the rear cross members. Each one of these in the earlier design was used to
carry the body, occupants load & to take the suspension & ride forces respectively. These were
simplified by elimination of one of the cross members and commonizing the other one to carry the dead
load of the vehicle & serve as suspension mounting structure simultaneously. This, along with the
material & weight reduction by 5kgs, has drastically reduced the assembling process at the fabrication
stage.
2. FRONTSUSPENSION (PASSENGER&PICKUP)

Description:
Current dual coil front suspension system, working on too stiff springs was imparting a very stiff ride,
affecting the ride comfort especially in rural regions. This was worked out by selecting a bit softer
springs to take care of the ride comfort without compromising with the handling & traction. This
ensured the occupants a pleasant ride in its class of vehicles coupled with proper stiffness ensuring the
tyre contact with the ground at all driving conditions, ensuring the driver during steering on rough
surfaces & braking simultaneously. This assy. consists no of parts which were done in solid modeling
.Concerned drawings for the above mentioned two projects were released resulting.

It is aimed at introducing 1 ton Diesel 4 – Wheeler segment, into market with enhanced aesthetics and
functional parameters, making unique of it class for its PAYLOAD capacity in market.

Description: Total chassis was modified and assembled aimed at both Passenger & Pickup vehicle on a
common platform featured by improved process technique like spot welding at approximate zone rather
than MIG welding ( Spot welding technique improves strength and surface quantity of the joiner. MIG
leads to localized hardening of material effecting the stiffness and strength of chassis).
