I have only worn variations of only one type Levi's jeans - the legendary button fly 501s.

However, I have always wondered about their numbering system and was unable to find out what the different numbers meant. It's not explained on the L evi's site as well. That was until today. Searching on Google lead me to WikiAnswers and more specif ically the question: What are the differences in style number of levi's? The person who posted it also got it form another site but I think it's accurate .
