I am an undergraduate at the University of Teesside studying Product Design.


I am confident within myself and my abilities to enthusiastically undertake
every job I am employed for. It is important for me to go the extra mile for my

The role involved serving the customers and also replenishing and
organizing stock. I was also responsible for the operation and upkeep of the
various lab machines, picture kiosks and computers inside the shop.

2 0 0 3 - 2 0 0 5 Admin Assistant, Safeway / Somerfield

The role involved making sure that the price of a product indicated on the
shop floor, accurately matched the price on the company pricing structure.
I was also responsible for the stores newspapers and magazines, I would
have to make sure all out of date newspapers and magazines were
returned. I also spent a little time helping out with the produce department.
In early 2005 the admin department was one of the key departments
responsible for the conversion from Safeway stores to Somerfield stores. It
was also necessary to communicate effectively and accurately with
colleagues in order to complete various duties.

The role involved preparing both starters and deserts for our many
customers, working in this job taught me to work very well under pressure
and to accomplish all the tasks given to a high standard.

D E S I G N E X P E R I E N C E

O ff ice Chai r

This project involved working in a team and producing an office chair. This
project relied heavily on the use of ergonomics as the office chair had to
encompass 99% of the British population.

Child p ro of Pill D isp e nse r

This project involved designing and producing a child proof dispenser for
adults that children would not be able to open. Within this project, several
things had to be taken into account such as child and adult anthropometrics,
Cognitive thinking and looking beyond the obvious to create a workable
solution.
