VERY IMPORTANT Communication on 2 FA and transaction limits

As per RBI guidelines, Additional Factor of Authentication is mandatory for all electronic payment transactions w.e.f 1.10.2013. To comply with the above regulatory stipulation, we have enabled SMS based One Time Password (OTP) as default Two Factor Authentication (2FA) for FedNet customers who have not yet registered for 2FA as on 31.10.2013 For executing transactions through FedNet, such customers shall use the OTP received in their registered mobile and Email ID. Such Customers, who have not yet requested for 2FA as on 31.10.2013 will receive a verification call from our Customer Care for confirming the Mobile number and email ID to make sure delivery of the One Time Password (OTP). FedNet Customers, who have already registered for 2FA prior to 1.11.2013, can continue to use the opted mode of 2FA or change to any other mode of their choice by logging in to FedNetRequestChange Two Factor Authentication method . For FedNet accounts opened from November 1, 2013 onwards, along with enabling of Transaction facility, SMS OTP will also be registered as default 2FA with a Basic transaction limit of Rs.30000.00. Taking into consideration the issues related to Java, we have decided to withdraw the option for PC Based 2FA for new registrations w.e.f 1.11.2013. Customers already registered for PC based 2FA can continue to use it till they opt to change the mode. Due to security reasons, the transaction limit is set as Zero for inactive FedNet accounts not operated for 365 days. Customers can activate the account by calling our 24x7 Customer Care (contact details given below). Customers registered for 2FA will have the option to continue the existing Transaction limits. The existing transaction limit of the customers will be shown on the FedNet Page AccountsOperative Accounts Limits Inquiry. We have introduced a reduced limit category of Rs30000.00 as the Basic limit for customers registered for 2FA. This is for executing normal small value transactions and for reducing the risk in keeping a higher transaction limit. Those who require a higher transaction limit (Silver Net Rs100000.00 & Gold Net Rs500000.00) can request online and enhance limits by logging on to FedNetRequestEnhanceTransaction Limit. The request will be approved automatically within one hour. Customer also can reduce the limit to the required category through the same process. The present transaction limit structure available for

customers registered for 2FA is given below for your information.

a) Basic limit Rs. 30000.00 b) Silver Net Rs. 100000.00 c) Gold Net Rs. 500000.00

For sanction of specific higher limits, customer shall apply to their branch in a specified application form, which is available at our branches. For security reasons, we request you to change the login and transaction passwords periodically. Pls DO NOT respond to any email/sms/phone call asking you to update your net banking /ATM card details in any site or attachment
