1. Introduction
Network Services is deploying a Cisco VPN solution to provide remote access into the Standard Chartered network, to support mobile users, users travelling on business and other bank-wide initiatives such as Agile Working or Alternate Workspace. This document is a user guide for using the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client (for Hard Token users).
Alternatively, click on the Windows Start menu, then navigate to Programs > Cisco > Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client > Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client, as shown below:

Click on the drop down list arrow to see the list of countries available. Select the country you are geographically closest to. For example, if you are in Singapore, you would select the Singapore VPN option, as shown to the right.
Note:
You should continue to use your regular country's gateway even if you travel to another country which has a closer VPN gateway. This is because your email server will be nearer to your regular country's gateway than the country you are travelling to.

If this is the first time you are using the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client, click on the preferences button shown to the right.

Click on the downward facing arrow next to RSA SecurID Integration (which is currently set to 'Automatic') and select Hardware Token, as shown below.

Click OK and you will be returned to the screen requesting your login credentials, as shown to the right.
Enter your username next to Username. The text box beneath Username then asks you to enter your PIN or Passcode. Enter your Passcode into this text box and press Enter or click Connect.
Note:
Your Passcode is your PIN followed by the code displayed on your hard token, while your Username and PIN are exactly the same as for the Nortel Contivity client.
You may receive a message asking you to wait for the token to change and then to enter the new tokencode as shown to the right.

If this happens, wait for the tokencode displayed on your hard token to change. Enter the new tokencode into the Answer text box and click Continue as shown to the right.
You will then see the status bar at the bottom of the AnyConnect window display the progress of the connection as a number of actions are performed. An example is shown below.
The window should then disappear and you will know that you are successfully connected to the Cisco VPN because the following icon will appear in your Windows taskbar to the bottom right of your desktop:

Click on the Connection tab at the top left. You will then see the screen to the right. Now click on Disconnect at the bottom.
Alternatively, you can right-click the icon in the Windows taskbar, and then click on Disconnect as shown to the right.
