LACIP Update

Johannes Heickmann of KfW in the field at Swabi and Charsadda


Mr. Johannes Heickmann, Project Manager Crisis Response Asia KfW visited Partner Organizations SPADO and NRSP in Districts Charsadda and Swabi on the 26th and 27th of June, 2013. During his time in the field, he met with asset transfer beneficiaries, visited water course schemes and link roads. A local community organization (LSO) gave a presentation to Mr. Johannes regarding their activities and future plans for their village. He then analyzed the LACIP Management Information System at the partner organization level, and asked various questions regarding its functionality and how it was being used for efficiency of reporting within the Project.

NLC-ATIN visited by Dr. Anna Christine Janke and Mr. Haroon Razzaq of KfW

Dr. Anna Christine Janke, Mr. Haroon Razzaq from KfW, Mr. Rana Sarwar of HELVETAS and GM LACIP travelled to Dina to oversee trainings and operations being carried out at the NLC-ATIN facility. The Deputy Director NLC-ATIN, Lt. Colonel Zeeshan Hashmi briefed the visitors about the work of the institute, the training programs that are offered to the students at the training facility and how the certifications from the institute provide job opportunities for the trainees. The visiting team attended the training sessions of the students, asked for feedback from the trainees regarding this initiative and how their experience has been so far. The students were requested to practically show what they had learnt from their training of heavy machinery over the past few months .

LACIP PMU conducts Management Information System (MIS) training in Peshawar


Two focal people from 21 LACIP Partner Organizations were invited to Peshawar Roots Millennium School on the 6th and 7th of May, 2013. The training for the MIS was done with the purpose of acquainting all the Partner Organizations of LACIP on the system. Data entry for all the projects of all the LACIP districts was initiated at the workshop and the suggestions of the attending personnel were incorporated
