Raptor® XL2000 Crusher Specifications

RAPTOR® XL2000 CONE CRUSHER XL2000 Cone Crusher, includes a cast steel mainframe, threaded adjustment ring, threaded bowl, hydraulic clamping , clearing and tramp release system, hydraulic adjustment of crushing setting, manganese steel mantle and bowl liner, package lube system and water or air type oil coolers, hydraulic power unit and tools.

XL2000 MAIN FRAME ASSEMBLY Cast steel main frame with countershaft drive housed in an oversized main frame arm. Forged alloy steel main shaft fitted into the lower main frame center hub. Main shaft is drilled and ported to deliver lubrication oil to the head ball, socket liner and eccentric bushings. The main frame is fitted with abrasion resistant steel (AR) liner protection, bronze main frame seat liners, main frame pins, molded urethane counterweight seals, cast white iron arm guards, steel lower eccentric thrust bearing, and heavy duty upper and lower flanges. Main frame includes inspection portholes for viewing and if necessary removing debris or accumulated fines from the discharge area.

ADJUSTMENT RING ASSEMBLY Cast steel adjustment ring, matched with cast steel clamp ring, having single-pitch buttress threads machined on inner diameters, multiple clamp cylinders, bronze main frame pin bushings, adjustment drive motor/brakes mounted to the adjustment ring, with vibrations sensors mounted to detect adjustment ring movement.

BOWL ASSEMBLY Cast steel bowl, with single-pitch buttress threads machined on the exterior, fitted complete with bowl liner retention hardware and fabricated steel adjustment cap.

HEAD ASSEMBLY Cast alloy steel head 2.8 meter diameter with raised mantle seat and wear indicator groove. Head fitted with forged steel head ball, leaded bronze lower head bushing, aluminum bronze upper head bushing, and molded urethane seals against counterweight.

FEED PLATE ASSEMBLY Cast manganese steel feed plate bolted to an internally threaded mantle locking nut.

ECCENTRIC & COUNTERWEIGHT ASSEMBLY Cast ductile iron eccentric with bronze eccentric bushing, enclosed cast steel counterweight with lead weight counterbalance and abrasion resistant (AR) steel counterweight guard, forged steel bevel crusher drive gear and molded urethane running seals. Gear and counterweight are bolted to the eccentric and can be removed as separate components.

SOCKET LINER MAINSHAFT ASSEMBLY Bronze socket liner is fitted by inset to main shaft. Main shaft is sleeved to provide contact surface for upper head bushing. The design allows free removal and access to eccentric assembly. Therefore, full and easy access is provided to all internal components without the challenge of removing and interference fit socket.

COUNTERSHAFT ASSEMBLY Forged steel countershaft, fitted with bronze inner and outer bushings and forged pinion gear, operating within oversized main frame arm.

ADJUSTMENT ASSEMBLY Steel adjustment drive ring, driven by heavy duty pinions on hydraulic planetary drive units, with integral spring applied brakes allow accurate crusher setting. Adjustment motor power comes from the hydraulic power unit.

PACKAGE LUBE ASSEMBLY Fabricated steel oversized lube tank, with spill protection. Hinged access covers allow viewing of the crusher return oil and relief valve bypass oil flows. Drain line and bypass oils pass through a 10 mesh screen basket, which is removable from tank for cleaning. The lube tank is fitted with multiple immersion heaters, visual sight glass gauge and low oil level indicator. The 40-50 micron replaceable oil filter, equipped with a filter bypass relief valve and pressure differential switches for dirty filter and filter bypass alarms. Lube system can be provided with either water type oil coolers with control and sensing valves, or air type oil coolers with relief valves and related cooler piping. Sensors with a 4-20 mA output and local visual readout monitor crusher drain line temperature, supply oil temperature and lube tank temperature. All sensors and switches are wired to a

lube skid mounted terminal box. Redundant dual lube pump/motors and duplex lube oil filters optional.

Independent lubrication pump ensures direct full flow

oil supply to the socket liner.

HYDRAULIC POWER UNIT ASSEMBLY

A fabricated steel hydraulic power unit tank and skid

style mounting frame, fitted with a top mounted motor and submerged gear pump. Solenoid control valves, hydraulic output hose connections, replaceable cartridge filter, bladder style clamping cylinder accumulator and electrical terminal box are all mounted on the power unit assembly. A removable top shroud is included to protect the power unit assembly. The hydraulic power unit provides hydraulic pressure to the clamping cylinders and tramp release cylinders as well as the hydraulic motors for crusher bowl rotation and closed side setting adjustment.

HYDRAULIC TRAMP AND CLEARING CYLINDER ASSEMBLY Multiple “dual acting” hydraulic cylinders hold the adjustment ring to the main frame during normal crushing and provide protection from crushing force overloads. The tramp release cylinders operate in conjunction with pre-charged bladder-type nitrogen accumulators. The crusher is also protected by a fail- safe pressure relief valve located at each accumulator which activates in the event of bladder failure. This arrangement provides a mechanically sound preload arrangement that fully protects the crusher under a variety of operating and maintenance scenarios.

Hydraulic cylinders mounted to the main frame allow lifting of the adjustment ring assembly, in order to clear the crushing chamber of loaded material, in the event

of an unexpected interruption of production or machine

stall overloads. In addition, the bowl can be rotated

hydraulically to provide additional clearing of the crushing chamber if needed.

TOOLS ASSEMBLY Special tools for crusher assembly, disassembly and maintenance, include a head lifting plate, eccentric lifting ring, jacking screws, lifting ring bolts, locking bolt wrench and accumulator charging kit.
