Puerto Rico Museum of Art Housed in a Neoclassical former hospital in San Juans Santurce neighborhood, this 130,000-square-foot space became the Caribbeans most extensive art museum when it opened in 2000. The collection includes prominent Puerto Rican artists from the 17th century to the present day. Theres also a five-acre sculpture garden, the perfect place for a quiet stroll before lunch at the on-site restaurant Laurel Kitchen Art Bar. Castillo San Felipe del Morro (El Morro) This stone garrison is the second-oldest freestanding fort in the Americas. Built by Spanish settlers between 1539 and 1783 on a rock-strewn promontory at the entrance of San Juan Bay, its a hulking pile of turrets, towers, walls, barracks, and dungeons that are ripe for exploration. A $5 combination pass buys entry to both El Morro and Castillo San Cristbal, another fort on the northeast edge of Old San Juan.

Acadia National Park and Lobster Bake Start your journey from the pier in Bar Harbor, with a scenic drive on Park Loop Road and enjoy the spectacular coastal, mountain, and forest scenery. Because John D. Rockefeller donated much of the land, you will be able to glimpse the romantic stone-cut bridges and elaborate carriage trails built by the philanthropists family at the turn of the century. Once you arrive at the summit of Cadillac Mountain, the highest point on North Americas Eastern seaboard, you will be able to bask in the breathtaking natural beauty of Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park. You will end your excursion with a true Down-East lobster bake along the coast. Pulled straight from the ocean, youll enjoy fresh lobster drizzled with butter, as well as steamed Maine mussels, coleslaw, fresh corn on the cob, and boiled red potatoes. Top it all off with a dessert made from fresh Maine blueberries, and relax in knowing that you have enjoyed a quintessential New England experience. Famous Peggy's Cove Fishing Village Experience two sides of Canada as you depart the modern city of Halifax and head to a rustic fishing village where only 60 people live year round. An inspiration for artists and writers for generations, Peggys Cove Fishing Village has been beautifully formed by the Atlantic Ocean, and its rock formations left by eroding glaciers and hundreds or millions of years old granite surely make a lasting impression. After learning about the history of the village from your knowledgeable guide, you will have time to visit its quaint shops.

Coln 2000 Of the citys two main docks (the other is Cristobal Pier), Colon 2000 is the more upscale thanks to dozens of attractive restaurants and shops, many of which benefit from Colns free-trade zone. Zona Libre Savvy shoppers on a hunt for foreign brands can join South American merchants in Zona Libre, a 988-acre shopping area filled with every manner of wholesale good (silver, handbags, clothing, electronics). Note that purchases here have to be exported, a process that can be cumbersome, but window-shopping in this whirlwind marketplace can be quite exciting. Gatn Locks Its hard to be underwhelmed by the engineering behind this massive lock system, which raises and lowers ships some 85 feet between the Pacific and Panamas Gatn Lakeespecially when you realize it was built more than 100 years ago. Travelers can watch ships make the crossing from a close-viewing platform just seven miles south of Coln.

Some countries require guests to pay departure taxes, which are not included in the airline ticket. Celebrity recommends guests verify all taxes and fees for which they are held responsible at the time they book their air. AIR TRANSPORTATION ON YOUR OWN Should you choose to make your own air transportation arrangements, Celebrity will not be responsible for a hotel arrangement, nor will the ship be able to welcome you earlier than the scheduled check-in time. A: Time to disembark varies based on how long it takes the local authorities to clear the ship. As each person leaves the ship, they will proceed through customs individually, if applicable. BACK-TO-BACK SAILINGS Please note that due to restrictions under the U.S. Passenger Vessels Services Act (the Jones Act), we cannot accept reservations for back-to-back voyages that begin in one U.S. port and conclude in a different U.S. port. In the event such an itinerary is booked, Celebrity Cruises reserves the right to cancel one of the cruises at the passenger's expense. NOTE: For security reasons, guests are not allowed to bring visitors onboard Celebrity vessels in any port. If your flight is delayed and you have opted for the CruiseCare Vacation Protection Plan, you may be reimbursed up to $500 (U.S. dollars) to cover accommodations, meals and catch-up transportation as long as the airline delay was caused by covered reasons. Otherwise, you are responsible for any expense incurred to meet the ship at its next port of call, including government fees. Please note that this is not a complete description of the plan. If you have any questions, or would like to request a copy of the plan description with policy wording which contains the specific terms, conditions, and exclusions, please call 800-797-4516. SHORE EXCURSIONS Visit celebritycruises.com/shoreex for more information and to purchase shore excursions in advance of your cruise. Shore excursions may also be booked onboard through the Celebrity Network or at the Shore Excursion Desk. Book as soon as possible after boarding the ship because space is limited. SHORE EXCURSIONS POLICY Celebrity makes arrangements for transportation, lodging and/or excursions and tours, other than ocean passage, only as a booking agent. Celebritys responsibility does not extend beyond the ship. In arranging for the transportation of guests to and from the ship, for lodging and/or excursions and/or tours, Celebrity does so with independent contractors. Celebrity is not responsible for incidents such as cancellations, re-routings, delays, accidents, injuries or losses sustained while guests are ashore, whether on organized excursions or otherwise. Please see separate shore excursion brochure for details and contractual conditions. DEPOSITS/CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS FOR EXCURSIONS Our deposit and refund policies for shore excursions or optional land excursions vary. Please consult your travel agent for details. CRUISETOURS Transportation aboard the ship is provided solely by the operator of the vessel. Independent third-party land tour operators provide the land portion of the Cruisetours. Celebrity makes the arrangements for the land tour portion of a Cruisetour as a convenience for our guests. The providers, owners and operators of all components of the land tour portion of the Cruisetour (such as bus transportation, hotels, tours, restaurants and attractions) are independent contractors and are not acting as agents or representatives of Celebrity. Even though Celebrity may collect a fee for, or otherwise profit from, making such arrangements and offering to sell the Cruisetours, it does not undertake to supervise or control such independent contractors or their employees, nor maintain their conveyances or facilities, and makes no representation, whether express or implied, regarding their suitability or safety. In no event shall Celebrity be liable for any loss, delay, disappointment, damage, injury, death or other harm whatsoever to Passenger which occurs on the land tour portion of the Cruisetour as a result of any acts, omissions or negligence of any independent contractors. The land tour portion of your Cruisetour or certain portions of the land tour may be subject to the terms and conditions of the independent contractor that provides that portion of the land tour. Celebritys liability for the Cruisetour shall be as specified in the Cruise Ticket Contract. Celebrity is not responsible for any substitutions, deviations, variations or changes to the land tour portion; contact the independent contractor for information about their right to make such changes. Individual and group space are subject to availability, minimum participation and cancellation penalties. Blackout dates may apply. We regret that Celebrity cannot issue refunds for unused portions of your clients land tour. CANCELLATIONS BY CELEBRITY If Celebrity or your land tour operator cancels a land tour, it will rebook guests on the same tour with a different departure date or a similar tour. All rebookings are subject to availability. If that tour is unacceptable, the land tour operator will refund, to the extent it received payment, the value of the land tour calculated in accordance with its standard methodology for handling such matters; there is no additional liability. TRAVEL PROTECTION Q: Is cancellation coverage available? A: The CruiseCare Cancellation Penalty Waiver Program waives the non-refundable cancellation provision of your Cruise Ticket Contract and pays you the value of the unused portion of your cruise vacation in the event that you or your traveling companion need to cancel your cruise for specified reasons. If you need to cancel for any other reason, you may be eligible for Cruise Credits equal to 75% of the non-refundable value of your prepaid cruise vacation. Brought to you by Celebrity Cruises. Q: Will I need extra insurance? A: Because our liability for loss or damage is limited by the Cruise Ticket Contract, we recommend that all guests check their own insurance coverage prior to departure. For greater peace of mind, Celebrity Cruises CruiseCare Travel Insurance Program offers affordable medical, baggage and trip delay coverage for the duration of their cruise vacation. Q: Is there any baggage protection? A: Our optional CruiseCare Travel Insurance Program provides up to $1,500 in baggage protection due to loss, theft, or damage. Should your bag be delayed by the airline for more than 24 hours, you may be reimbursed up to $500 toward any purchase of necessary items. CELEBRITY CRUISECARE We want this to be the best vacation of your life. So to make sure you have nothing to think about except having a good time, we offer the CruiseCare package of benefits: CruiseCare Cancellation Penalty Waiver Program If your plans go awry and you cancel - or interrupt your cruise vacation (for specified reasons), Celebrity Cruises will waive the non-refundable cancellation provision of your Cruise Ticket Contract and pay you the value of the unused portion of your prepaid cruise vacation. Also, should you or your traveling companion need to cancel your cruise for "any other reason", you may be eligible for Cruise Credits (up to 75% of the non-refundable, prepaid cruise vacation cost). Brought to you by Celebrity Cruises*. *For NY residents, the CruiseCare Cancellation Penalty Waiver Program is underwritten by Stonebridge Casualty Insurance Company, a Transamerica company, Columbus, Ohio; NAIC # 10952 under Policy/Certificate Form series TAHC5000. If your bags are delayed or misdirected for more than 24 hours, CruiseCare Travel Insurance may reimburse you up to $500 for the purchase of necessary personal items. SMOKING POLICY Smoking is permitted on only the ships outer decks in designated smoking areas. Smoking is not permitted on the Zodiac rafts or other transport vessels. PASSENGER TICKET CONTRACT The transportation of guests and baggage on Celebrity Xpedition is governed by the terms and conditions of the Cruise Ticket Contract included as part of the cruise documentation. The Cruise Ticket Contract, which is between the carrier Islas Galapagos Turismo y Vapores C.A. (hereinafter IGTV) and you, limits your rights against both IGTV and Celebrity. Among other things, the Cruise Ticket Contract sets forth limitations on the time frames in which claims may be made and suits filed against IGTV or Celebrity. It is important that you read all of the terms and conditions of the Cruise Ticket Contract, paying particular attention to sections 11 and 12. NOTE: A Cruise Ticket Contract must be signed by each guest prior to boarding. (Copies are available upon request and may be available online at celebritycruises.com/cruiseticketcontract.) The terms and conditions set forth in this brochure shall also apply. Any and all information contained in this brochure, including prices, and terms and conditions, is subject to change at any time without notice. In the event of any conflict between (on the one hand) the terms and conditions of this brochure, any advertisements or offers related to a Celebrity Xpedition voyage, or any oral or written representation of any IGTV or Celebrity representative and (on the other hand) the Cruise Ticket Contract, the terms of the Cruise Ticket Contract shall govern. CARRIER & GUEST LIABILITY Carrier Liability Guests release IGTV and Celebrity from any and all claims for loss or damage to baggage or property, or for personal injuries or death, or for loss from delay, arising out of the acts, omissions or negligence of any independent contractors, such as air carriers, hotels, shore excursion providers, restaurateurs, transportation providers, medical personnel or other providers of services or facilities. Under no circumstance does IGTVs responsibility extend beyond the vessel. All arrangements made for the guest with independent contractors are made solely for the convenience of the guest and are at the guests risk. IGTV disclaims all liability for damages for emotional distress, mental suffering or psychological injury of any kind, under any circumstances, except to the extent such disclaimer is prohibited by 46U.S.C. 183c (b). Guest Liability Each guest agrees to indemnify IGTV, Celebrity and their respective parent, affiliates and subsidiaries for all penalties, fines, charges, losses or expenses incurred or imposed upon one or more of them by virtue of any act, omission or violation of law by the guest. Each guest, or if a minor, his or her parent or legal guardian, shall be liable to and reimburse us for all damage to the ship and its furnishings and equipment, or any property of the ship, caused by the willful or negligent act or omission on the part of the guest. WHEELCHAIR-ACCESSIBLE STATEROOMS/ OXYGEN/SPECIAL NEEDS Celebrity welcomes guests with disabilities and special needs, and we will provide reasonable and appropriate assistance. Guests should be aware that Celebrity is not required to provide personal assistance (e.g. assisting with eating, dressing, toileting, lifting, etc.), and therefore, guests requiring assistance with these functions should consider these needs when making a booking. While we do not require information about the extent of your disability, the more information you can share with us about your specific needs, the better we are able to assist you. We encourage you to notify us of your needs at time of booking but no later than 30 days prior to sailing. Portions of Celebrity Xpedition vacations are provided by an independent contractor, IGTV, and therefore ability to accommodate guests with special needs may be limited. Contact Celebritys Access Department in writing via fax at 954-628-9622 or via email at special_needs@celebrity.com. XPEDITION ACCESSIBILITY Celebrity Xpedition does not have an elevator or accessible staterooms. During a Celebrity Xpedition vacation, guests will need to ascend or descend steps into a motorcoach, use stairs, walk and/or climb over uneven ground for extended distances and get on and off inflatable Zodiac tenders. Please note there is very little wheelchair-accessibility on the Galapagos Islands. In addition, the land portion of these vacations, including Quito and Galapagos in Ecuador, as well as Lima, Cuzco and Machu Picchu in Peru are not suited to persons who are full-time wheelchair users. ONBOARD PHYSICIANS Each Celebrity Vessel is equipped with a medical facility. One licensed Physician (under Ecuadorian law) is normally in attendance onboard. The medical services and medications kept onboard are extremely limited, and guests must bring an adequate supply of any specific medications they need. The medical facility is not intended or designed to serve as a clinic for guests, and the use of those facilities (including any medications obtained there from) will result in a charge to the guest. We are not responsible for the diagnosis, treatment or services furnished by shipboard medical personnel, who are independent contractors. PERSONAL PROPERTY/VALUABLES Property lost or damaged should be reported to either the Guest Relations Desk or a designated IGTV employee prior to leaving the Ecuadorian Customs area on Baltra. In any event, property lost or damaged must be reported within the time limitations and in accordance with the procedures set forth in the Cruise Ticket Contract. In the absence of negligence on our part, we are not responsible for any loss, theft, pilferage and/or damage to a guests property, which includes items such as money, travel currency, jewelry of any kind, photographic/electronic equipment or other personal property. Collectively, our liability is limited to $300 USD per guest and otherwise in accordance with the provisions in the Cruise Ticket Contract. Safes are available in every stateroom.
