History:

St. Bridget of Sweden was born June 14, 1303 to Birger Persson, a governor, judge and wealthy land owner and Ingeborg Bengtsdotter, a dee ly ious wo!an. She !arried Prin"e #lf $ud!arsson a noble and ious !an. %hey had eight "hildren in"luding St. &atherine of Sweden. 'hen her husband died in 1344 she devoted herself to religious life. In 134( she founded the )rder of the *ost +oly Savior. St. Bridget is ,nown for the revelations she re"eived on the wounds and assion of Jesus, ,nown as the 1Prayers of St. Bridget. She died July .3, 13/3 and was "anoni0ed on )"tober /, 1311. Saint Bridget rayed for a long ti!e to ,now how !any blows )ur 2ord suffered during +is terrible Passion. 3ewarding her atien"e, one day +e a eared to her and said4 5I re"eived -4/- blows u on *y Body.
