html This website is a PBS link that takes the viewer to a page full of links. This links are transcripts of interviews with various yet important people. There are 2 to 3 different conversations and topics with each person being interviewed. Book(s): Authors, John, and Richard Wolffe. The Victim's Fortune. 1st ed. New York: HarperCollins, n.d. Print. A book that takes place fifty years after World War II, this is about a small group of Americans that launched a campaign to confront the world with the fact that many assets looted by the Nazis had never been returned to their owners. They mounted a vigorous challenge against some of the worlds largest cooperations and demanded billions of dollars. But instead of being a moral debate, it opened up painful debates about whether money can ever compensate for the horrors of the holocaust.

Zeinert, Karen. The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. Brookfield, CT: Millbrook, 1993. Print. This book discussed the roots of anti-Semitism and gave information of Hitlers rising to power; although, this book mainly illustrated the account of the Polish Jews rebellion against the Nazis in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.

This book by Seymour Rossel discusses the treatment of the Jews during the Holocaust and the aftermath when many of the Nazi war criminals were brought to horrifying light.

Brown, Gene. Anne Frank: Child of the Holocaust. New York, NY: Rosen Pub. Group, 1991. Print. The biography of a thirteen year-old Jewish girl whose diary was published after her death in a Nazi concentration camp. Her diary made her a very famous young woman and was also used in the trials on the villains of the Holocaust. Unfortunately, she will stay as a young woman in all our minds.

Altman, Linda Jacobs. The Jewish Victims of the Holocaust. Berkeley Heights, NJ: Enslow, 2003. Print. The lives of Jews, during the rise and fall of Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany, are explored along with the progression of World War II and how it affected the lives and treatment of Jews.

Tanaka, Shelley, and David Craig. D-Day: They Fought to Free Europe from Hitler's Tyranny. New York: Hyperion For Children, 2003. Print. Describes the Allied landing on the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944. Known as operation Overlord, this book is from the point of view of four soldiers who where there. Internet

This informational page quickly describes the Holocaust to the general public. It explains what the holocaust was and how the Final Solution was executed. After the holocaust ended, some 6 million Jewish Europeans, about two thirds, were killed.

Although, this link varies because this page contains a timeline of important dates of the holocaust. It is quite extensive yet it gives an idea of how long the holocaust and World War II lasted. It is suggested that the holocaust first started in 1933 when Adolf Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Europe, and then ended in 1945 when Germany surrendered.

Americas reaction to the Holocaust is shown through a timeline with events such as President Roosevelts reaction: Roosevelts New Deal creates agencies that hire by merit system, resulting in more opportunities for Jews. And events like the March 7th German surrender to the United States.

In the website, Biography.com, I found a rather large article containing the biography of Adolf Hitler. While this covers the entire Holocaust and only a small part of my specific section, It was very educational and helped me further my under standing of the holocaust and World War II. The website also talked about Hitlers childhood, rise to power, and his death and legacy.

This article has been one of the more informative of the websites that I have viewed. History.com does an in depth overview of the Holocaust and World War II. I learned most of my information from this website about the Holocaust.

Discusses life in a Nazi concentration camp, including the typical conditions in the camps, the Jews daily lives, organization and implementation, extermination through labor, and the survivors that lived through it against all odds.

Discusses the notable events of World War II that took place in Europe, from the chain of events leading up to Germanys invasion of Poland to the death of Hitler. This book helped identifying the causes and effects of the Holocaust.

The website was a collection of important dates form history, each with their own short description. This one was a bit more informative and I could gather much more information than the first.
