National Winter/Summer Promotion Strategy

1. Countries Available (As agreed during International Congress) & Targeting Strategy
Winter 2009
Taiwan 35
Asia Philippines 6 to 8 weeks 15 Winter
Sri Lanka 4

Strategy • Focus on internal recruitment

• Main strategy is to challenge how well people know these countries
(generate cultural selling points for each country and publicize it visually)
• Generate stories when they return to be used in external recruitment
campaign for the summer
• (it is easier to get current members to sign-up for exchange in nearby
countries in the winter, as the holiday is shorter and it is easier to get
people decided on travelling to countries nearby)
Target • All current members (have to address that they might have to miss
Audience school)
• especially any who are going on school exchange programme next
semester (January – June 2010)
• first years who generally are more possible to skip one/two weeks of
school
Summer 2010
Country Exchange Duration No. Available Period
Ghana
Tanzania
Uganda
Africa South Africa 8 to 12 weeks 50
Senegal
Summer
Togo
Rwanda
Indonesia 20
Asia Malaysia 6 to 8 weeks 13
Taiwan 40

Strategy • Promote Africa internally now together with the winter countries (people
need to take some time to be decisive about going to faraway places)
• Main external strategy is to offer people the opportunity to experience
exotic Africa, and a quality project management experience.
• (Have to address airfare and safety issues. Find return EPs who have
been to African nations and generate materials that also touch on these
issues other than the impact of their experience)
