Alternative Solutions AmanTech

Alternative Strategy 1:
Partnership and Alliance with Government of Pakistan (funding) Pros Government of Pakistan is a Stable entity with Budgetary support available to invest in project that are beneficial for the economy and Human Capital Development GoP has already established Infrastructure (Road, Rail, Land and Technology) to facilitate the expansion of the project or to franchisee the AmanTech Vocational Training Model. The Regulatory environment is in favor to the government and they can make policies for vocational/ skill based training to create skill based revolution for the youth of the country. In doing so AmanTech can increase from one vocational center to many others in northern parts of the country.

Cons Lack of Government Planning Mistrust between Public Private Partnership Increase in Red Tapeism, which will decrease the quality of the program Will not be able to ensure merit based intake

Alternative Strategy 2:
Partnership and Alliance with schools and other educational institutions Pros Will ensure support from mainstream educational institutions towards vocational/ skill based education. Will improve the quality of student input in the vocational training center. Parents will be likely to spend more, if the benefit is visible. In the future some part of the vocational training can be integrated as part of School curriculum. Cons Most Educational Institution have profit motive, so will be reluctant to partner. Students are not the main decision maker at this stage, parents are. Huge investment of Time as most of the school is paving a different set of skills.

Alternative Strategy 3:
Partnership and Alliance with Global Training Partners Pros Cons

The Partnership will help in ensuring standards of quality and global requirements Will increase Brand value and technical worth. Leverage on Global initiatives by bringing expert trainer to train local trainers

Might lose control as most partners will have high standards for partnership and technical accreditation. Require a lot of networking Bad Brand Image of the country may hamper partnership success.

Alternative Strategy 4:
Partnership and Alliance with Corporate Organization for Student Placement Pros Organizations are in need of technically trained workforce. Organizations do not want to invest inhouse technical training of their own; this can be their breading ground too. Will ensure stable placement of students, thereby have to push less on this area. Cons Few Corporate Organizations have their own separate vocational center that supplies them with technically trained staff. Many Organization are still not aware of the quality of student from AmanTech

Alternative Strategy 5:
Seek Funds through more donor drives/ campaigns Pros Will be able to expand the donor bases Can Target General Public to seek donation with a cause Will reduce the dependency on existing donor base Can approach UN, World Bank or ADB funds for human development Cons Will require a lot of man hours to implement the public drive campaign Big institutions like world bank will require proper audit and will set terms on their conditions, thus lose of control May Alienate existing donor as why to seek funds from other sources

Alternative Strategy 6:
Increase the Fees Structure from Students Pros Will help meet cost of the training Will increase the sustainability Will reduce the dependence on Donor Funds and partners Cons The Present Target segment is not earning well, thus they might not be able to avail the opportunity if fees increases The objective to train low income group people will be lost.
